A whole new world of shredding awaits.

You've witnessed Jeremy Jones destroy insane Alaska spines, thread through the tightest couloirs, and progress backcountry riding to the lofty new heights. Now it's time to get yours with the Jones Solution Splitboard. When you've had it with tracked-out runs and lift lines, the solution to your problem is waiting right here.

Jones strives to reduce environmental impact wherever possible, which is why they added a new ECO-plastic topsheet to the Solution this year. Made from Castor beans, this topsheet is lighter and more durable than the harmful plastic kinds, and it naturally sheds snow so you're pulling less weight when you're breaking trail. Also new is the Quick Tension tail, which uses pre-cut notches in the tail to eliminate the need for a traditional skin tail clip. Camber between the feet keeps the Solution planted at mach speed and gives the board a responsive, poppy feel, while slightly more rocker in the nose than the tail offers effortless float in the deepest pow. Quadrax glass keeps it stiff for stability at high speeds and carbon stringers add torsional stiffness for increased pop and response.

Mellow Magne-Traction places bumps along the edge for insane edgehold on windblown, exposed lines, while the blunted nose keeps swing weight down for quicker turns. Magne-Traction is also featured on the inside edges for reliable edge hold on sketchy skin tracks. Triple-density wood creates an ultralight and incredibly strong core, and this season Jones added hardwood strips to the outside edges for increased durability. Unlike traditional clips, the included Karakoram board clips actively pull both halves of the board together, which means less chatter and better response.

    Why Go For Anything Else?

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've ridden a few splits and a ton of solids and from the skin up to the ride down, I've got no reason to look at another splitboard. If you want to chat about this board, have me size one up or look at building a splitboard set up, let me know.

I'm riding this board with hardboots and love it. Still getting the fun surfy feel with better technical performance.

    Skin Up:

Mega easy. This is a light board and compared to other boards I've used, it's lighter which helps on the longer tours. Everything is a bit more effortless. Keep in mind though, since I'm on hardboots, my tech toes make kick turns and skinning far easier for me.

    Riding Down:

See the picture. Hopefully that'll explain how fun this board is. Some folks are skeptical of the narrower 244-256mm waist on these splits and how they perform in pow but I have no issues at all and I'm on the 161cm which has a waist of 250mm and I'm 185lbs.

    My specs:

    Height: 6'0''

    Weight: 180lbs

    Boot: US10 / Mondo 28.0

    Board Size: 161cm

If you've got questions about this board, want me to size one up, build a split set up, chat about avy gear, hit me up and I'll get you set up.

    Why Go For Anything Else?

Does anyone know how much rocker there is under the nose on the 166? Meaning, what is the gap between the snow and the board where the running length ends/nose begins? 3mm? 5mm? It's been my experience that too much nose rock rocker drops the tail too much and puts me in the backseat.

I have a 10.5 boot, will the 166 cm board with the large sidecut radius be wide enough or should I look at the 165W?

With a 10.5 boot you should be fine on the 166cm as far as width goes. I wouldn't expect there to be a potential for issues until you get to 11 or 11.5 size boots.

    What boots are you using?
