Just as its name implies, the Jones Hovercraft Women's Snowboard makes it feel like you're flying when you're surfing through untouched powder. Its tapered shape, rockered nose, and Directional Rocker make staying afloat in bottomless snow almost effortless, and it's still capable of serving up good times even when conditions are less than perfect.
Camber underfoot provides edge hold and stability on hardpack, while a long rockered nose keeps it afloat effortlessly in powder and the short tail makes it highly maneuverable in deep snow. Smaller, female-specific dimensions help lighter riders dart through the tightest glades and chutes with maximum agility. Additionally, you'll find the board's 3D-beveled tail keeps you from catching an edge on hard pack.
Much more versatile than its pow-specific shape would suggest, the Hovercraft excels at shredding firm snow when the pow's all tracked up. Mellow Magne-Traction improves edge hold by adding multiple contact points along the running length of the board, giving you insane grip on icy slopes. Biax glass gives it a forgiving flex for surfy carve and easy turn initiation, while carbon stringers enhance pop and response. Furthermore, the board's aluminum tip and tail protectors, Recycled ABS Sidewalls, and Recycled Stronger Edges make this board super-durable, allowing you to ride it through tight trees and rocky faces without worry.

Fun Board for the POWWOW
I got this board for my sister this year and it has been her favorite board so far. It definitely is not a board for beginners and someone who is riding of the groomers is going to love this board. It does have camber though so it will allow you to carve some big S turns down the corduroy. This board does allow you to float on top of the pow and it is super fun on a day where there is any new snow at all. She would definitely recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a good all mountain/pow board. It is very stiff though so be expecting that when you order it.

I actually just got the men's version of this because the women's was sold out in my size, but I imagine it's much the same. Took it out today for the first time and had a BLAST. I can tell this will be great in the deep stuff, but the not-so-big surprise is that it is an amazing carving board as well.I was worried that it would be stiff or hard to turn -- not at all!! It was super fun on all surfaces, from groomers to piles of powder on the sides, and rode through variable spots without a hitch--even though it's a very lightweight board, it has a very solid and stable feel. This board loves to turn and once it's on edge, holds like there's no tomorrow. Get this quick, before it's gone!

Even though this is a Women's specific deck, I ride the Men's version and wanted to share some thoughts on the board that will be consistent between the two models.
Last winter I had a blast testing the entire 2015/2016 Jones Snowboard line up (Men's board) and a whole bunch more. Contact me if you want to chat/email about which Jones board will suit your personal riding style the best.
The Hovercraft is a rad deck and most people view it as a pow board. With the Mellow Magne-Traction edges, this board handles great on hard pack. I personally love that the edge hold on this board is awesome and allows me to lay down a mean carve!
2015/2016 Differences:
For this years model, Jones eliminated the aluminum tail protectors, whereas the version of the Hovercraft I have (2014/2015) has the aluminum tail protectors. This was to aid in reducing the tail weight on the board.
