If you're looking for a playful board for cruising groomers and lapping the park, you've come to the wrong place. The Jones Carbon Flagship Snowboard is a seriously-stiff, big mountain competition-winning freeride stick that's insanely lightweight and lively. Pick one up for all your hard-charging needs—if you think you can handle it.

A carbon topsheet and strategically-placed carbon stringers make this board ridiculously quick edge-to-edge, chatter-free in choppy terrain, and stiff enough to handle massive cliff drops. Carbon construction also shaves significant weight to make it ridiculously light. Directional Rocker features camber underfoot for pop and power, with a slightly rockered tail and more rockered nose to give it a catch-free feel and improve float in powder. A directional shape gives you more control and drive, and it also improves float in powder. Mellow Magne-Traction improves edge hold by adding multiple contact points along the running length of the board, giving you insane grip on icy slopes.

Dual-density wood in the Hard core creates an ultra-stiff, torsionally-stable ride for total control at insane speeds. Blunt tips reduce swing weight and allow the board to plane more smoothly in powder. It's finished off with a ultra-fast Sintered 9900 topsheet that's infused with OneBallJay BIO wax for long-lasting speed. When it comes to full-throttle freeriding, the Carbon Flagship can't be beat.

Super Delicious Deck

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got a chance to ride this board for about 15 days last season after picking it up at the SnowShow in Feb (review is about the 2014/15 162W). The board is amazing on nearly everything I rode. The float was unreal in the deep stuff. You couldn't drowned this board in pow even if you were wearing cement boots. On the groomers I really opened it up -- this board didn't blink at high speeds and was begging for more. No chatter whatsoever and the base is as fast as advertised. Also worth noting that the manufacturing is top notch. Solid, solid board. If you're ready for it, you will not regret buying this board.

Hi Trey, i see you posted a review about the 162W. What's your weight, height and boot size? I'm 6'2 200 lbs size 12 and i am considering buying a 162W. Is the 162W also good to do some minor park/pipe/freestyle tricks as well?

We could be body doubles almost (you have an inch on me) and the board seems perfect for me. Size 12 boots as well and no heal/toe drag. The board is super stiff so I wouldn't recommend it for park/pipe. It work well for the other freestyling I do (tail has enough rocker to land/ride switch). If you like to ride fast and in the deep stuff, you'll love this board. I would go with something that has more flex, and is more forgiving, if you plan to do much park/pipe. Hope that's helpful.

This thing is for sending it.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was able to take this board for a demo and it opened doors I did not know existed. I'm very familiar with my regular Flagship so this was quite the treat. It had a quicker toe to heal transfer which was a delight. It seemed you didn't need to put as much energy into your turns. When it got in some crud it left trenches. Super fun all Mountain shape is timeless and amazing in the powder.

what is the weight of the board?

Can this please be added for easy accessibility (tech specs "weight") for all back country ski/snow and mountaineering products please!

The 161cm is 6.63 lbs according to the jones site. The regular Flagship is 6.17 lbs. This thing is freaking stiff. I've found the carbon boards are not all that much lighter but very stiff and responsive.
Only the Ultracraft is really cutting weight. but it rides switch like shit.....
