Why We Like The Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner Cooking System
The Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner Cooking System is a compact two-burner stove system that runs on a standard 16.4-ounce propane bottle and allows us to whip up everything from bacon and eggs for breakfast to spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. We especially like that the compact design allows the stove to fold together and nest in the included pot for easy carrying up to camp, but also limits the amount of space the system takes up in the back of our rig when car camping.

Hard to beat for its size!
A fully nested cooking system in the space of a basketball. With two burners, you can cook eggs and bacon in the skillet while heating tortillas on the second burner. Great flame adjustability and easy to clean cookware. I’m not sure about the windscreen as it hasn’t been very windy on my latest trips. Overall, I’m really pleased with this system and highly recommend it!

Well-designed cook system for car/trailer camping
Great system. Two nice burners and the only two pieces of cooking gear your need for most meals for 1-4 people. I wish it had an adapter for the 1L fuel canisters.

Excellent portable stove.
I cook scores of meals outside, often over fire but I still pack an Optimus SVEA 123 that's over 50 years old. The Genesis Basecamp is an excellent portable stove. The first meal I cooked was Steak Diane for two and the stove performed without a hitch.

Top of the line cooking system
Excellent cooking system. Cooks faster than other 10k BTU systems. Not sure how this is possible but it will boil water in the same container in half as much time.

Great for Off-Roading and Overlanding!
I bought this to replace my CampChef BigGas Grill.i was skeptical at first as its size is so small and compact, however that was the objective, reduce the size of my equipment footprint without losing necessary conveniences. I can unequivocally recommend this product for remote cooking needs. I still cook 3 course meals while in the most remote places. I upgraded the fuel hose to connect to a propane tank onboard. I also upgraded to the Luna and today the Half Gen to extend the cooktop services. Awesome!

Genesis Comments
I work in equipment installations in reallly remote locations in Costa Rica and Panama, I needed an equipment that would provide me with certain features and this one has fulfilled what I needed at the moment. At certain times I need to cook for several people at other times just for me, I decided to buy in addition to the Genesis Base Camp a Minimo.

Best stove I have
I’ve used Traeger rangers, tailgaters, and camp chef grills and this has been by far superior and versatile. The straining lid on the pot is second to none. The only thing that worried me were the bad reviews of the fuel regulator.
