JanSport Salish Backpack - 2100cu in
Available Colors / Styles
Get set for your summer weekend overnight with the Jansport Salish backpack. Light and compact, the Salish won\222t weigh you down on the trail, but it is loaded with features that make your trip as enjoyable as possible. Jansport\222s Versa-wing system converts a large mesh compartment into two small gear pockets with a quick clip, so you can keep your gear organized and readily accessible.
- Lightweight foam Biovent straps conform to your body and include angled vent holes to provide maximum ventilation
- Quick-access hydration compartment and a tube management system built into the straps help you get your liquids on the trail
- Two front vertical gear pockets and hip-belt pockets help you separate out your gear
- Dual side compression straps stabilize your load
- Bottom lashing webbing and dual loops let you attach more gear to the pack’s exterior
Bottom Line: Big enough to carry all your own gear\227but darn, someone else is going to have to haul the four-person tent.
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.
Almost Awesome!

This pack is great for day trips. I used it all summer in the Tetons for quick trips up and down. It has enough room for a rope and minimal gear. The outside stash pockets are great for crampons, but I had to be careful not to rip the pack with my spikes. The gear loops are little small for an axe, but I made it work. The side pockets are a little shallow for water bottles. My favorite part of the pack is that it incredibly light-weight and breathable. The waste belt is awesome. The photo below is of Eric Seymour using the pack to climb the Middle Teton.
