The JanSport Odyssey Daypack offers comfort and versatility over rough, rugged terrain. JanSport combined an urban daypack's organizer panel and media pocket with the suspension and support of a heavy-duty hiking pack. Tuck the padded hip-belt away when you're on campus, and use it at the trailhead when you need the support. The internal frame sheet and aluminum stay disperse weight evenly, whether you're carrying gear or a bunch of textbooks. The Odyssey features side water bottle pockets and a built-in hydration sleeve. Daisy chains let you clip your Nalgene or climbing harness to the outside of the pack, and reflective hits increase you safety at night.
Almost too many pockets. I've lost things because I forget how many compartments it has and where I put things. Only beef is that the main compartment would be better if it were wider at the bottom, the other compartments can push in on the main, there are times I want to rip out some of the dividers. On the other hand if you can keep track of what you've packed where, it is great. Also, it is amazing how much this can hold. I can get my laptop in it and pack some clothes too. The compression straps are great for flights and getting it into the overhead. I have hiked about 10 miles with it and it was fine. Love the bottle holders on the sides. First class construction.
This bag is great has lots of roomy pockets, strong cordura fbric, has a strong zipper which I believe will hold up to lots of weight that my spouse often puts in his daypack, this bag has not been tested in the field as of yet, but this brand is noted as one of the best brands and is warranted for lifetime of the product, I Have heard other consumers mention they have had no problems with the company when it comes to repairing or replacing their bags when they experience problems even a few years later, Jansport will repair or replace your bag, so far we are happy with the bag, but you do tend to misplace your stuff in this cavernous bag, but I am sure it will hold food stuffs and other overstuffing it may endure from our packing, it is also lightweight and fits snuggly on your body, plenty of straps to hold it around your body as well.

I bought this Backpack for High School, College, light daypacking and travel in general. I absolutely love this bag! it holds more than i thought it would. It holds all of my college text books, notebooks and a laptop with plenty of room for some water, snacks, and my rain jacket. The only down side i can find is that on occasion if the bag sits in a certain way the shoulder straps can get sideways and can be slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, this bag is a superior pack. In a matter of a few words, Large, Light and Versatile.
I've had this pack for about 1 year now; I have it in the blue and black colors. It is extremely well constructed and excellent for organizing your things with four deep pockets and one shallow pocket on top. I use it daily for commuting, and the only downside is that it's a bit heavy at close to 4 pounds, but even so, it's comfortably padded. Also a plus: I've been caught in a major downpour with the pack on, and it dried fairly quickly (but it's not waterproof, so be sure to protect your electronic items).
