Description

An invaluable tool for crossing big water, hauling gear, and bagging your catch.

Just like that monster fish you never expected to catch, the Jackson Kayak Cuda 14 Kayak is an angling boat that's almost too good to be true. You'll find a dizzying array of angling-specific features packed into this boat, including in-hull gear storage that keeps rods and tackle within easy reach, supremely comfortable seating, and a hull design that tracks straight and boasts massive secondary stability. As an added bonus, Jackson's designers created a wide standing platform just in front of the seating area that allows you to stand up tall for the best possible casting position once you reach your favorite fishing hole.

  • Wide, flat hull shape makes this a paddling and standing platform that performs particularly well in wind so you won't get blown around
  • Hi/Low seat is padded for comfort, adjustable, and includes a removable rear utility bag and underside pocket
  • Hi/Low seat is height adjustable so you can get the perfect position for casting or paddling, and the seat can be removed from the boat and used as campsite seating when you're on shore
  • Seating area also features a flat section of deck and a stand-assist handle so you can take advantage of this boat's excellent secondary stability by standing for a better casting position
  • Secondary rear seating position allows you to move your seat towards the stern if you prefer to sit further back in your boat
  • 26-inch center hatch gives you storage for bait, tackle, and other essentials
  • Center hatch storage insert is removable, giving you easy access to the internal rod storage under the cockpit
  • Rear tankwell gives you enough storage for a drybag, rope, or other gear that you need to keep within reach
  • Bow and stern hatches have tight-fitting covers that help keep your gear dry
  • Boat also features flat areas for mounting fishing accessories on the hatch cover, paddler stagers, flush-mounted rod stagers, rod holders, rod tip covers, vertical tackle-box stagers in the tankwell and either side of the seat
  • Bow features a built-in mount for a GoPro-brand helmet camera so you can film every moment on the water
  • Removable skid plate protects the bottom of your boat from rough river bottoms and shallow coves

fast and effective

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

we have fished the Cuda 14 since it first hit the market. from the florida keys to lakes in tennessee and even the okefenokee swamp. it is a fast fishing machine and a joy to paddle. i do not stand it it as well as a lot of folks but a man has to know his limitations ! i love the low position for speed and distance but my son never moves off of the high position. the new rod holders on the 2014 and up models are outstanding. this is a great boat for salt or the biggest freshwater lakes there are.

Nothing but salt

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use my Cuda 14 in the salt waters of Hawaii. If your looking for a boat that tracks well in rough water, has a super comfortable seat that you can lay back and take a nap in, your looking in the right place! The center hatch is deep enough to put my small cooler in with four (1 liter) bottles of water packed with ice for those long days. Rigging options are almost endless. With three hatches to access the inside of the kayak, you can mount almost anything you want where you need it! Other then a fish finder and GPS, this is a turn key kayak!

Offshore cruiser- not just a bass boat.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use the Cuda 14 in the deep blue water offshore of the Island of Hawaii, in the capacity of a commercial fisherman. The stability and in-hull fish carrying capacity of this kayak are far and away better than any other boat I've owned previously, including the Trident 15. This boat is ready to fish straight out of the bag and it has no problem in helping me get 50-100 lbs of tuna or wahoo to the market. This boat is a fish killing machine!

The SUV of sit on top kayaks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used a lot of different kayaks in my time as a kayak angler and none has been a better all around boat than the Cuda 14. I use this boat primarily in the marshes and bays of south Louisiana, targeting redfish and speckled trout.

It paddles extremely well with decent speed and dead-on tracking. Once you get it going it feels like it just glides through the water. It has the stability I need to be able to stand up and fish out of it - no problem. With Jackson's elite hi/lo with lumbar support I can fish out of it all day and not get fatigued like I would have been in previous kayaks. The deck layout is really well thought out and full of nice touches that all fishermen will appreciate.

Great all around kayak. Fast and stable. It allows for you to cast standing up comfortably(I'm 6'3").

Jackson Kayaks come ready-to-fish, but you also have endless possibilities for rigging them.

Here's how I rigged mine.

Speed, Stability, and more. My go-to yak for long paddles and tournaments........even for duck hunting the Florida marshes.

I recently purchased the Jackson Cuda 14 through Backcountry and was wondering why you don't offer the Rudder kits for them like you do for most of the other brands of Kayaks you sell. Here is the part number from Jackson, Rudder kit for Cuda 2057
