Hunt down the biggest catches in lakes, ponds, or rivers when you're paddling the Jackson Kayak Coosa Kayak. This purpose-built fishing boat was designed with the help of professional kayak fisherman Drew Gregory, and as such it packs an array of angling-specific features. Take advantage of the rock-solid secondary stability of this unique hull shape and stand up to get a better casting position, or play off the rockered bow and nimble, responsive keel shape and paddle through quickly moving water or tight conditions with ease. Sneak up on the fish quietly, keep your gear close, and do it with a kayak that's dedicated to landing the big ones.

  • Hi/lo seat setup allows you to loosen the strap and drop the seat from its high position, and the seat is removable to function as a camp chair
  • Flat, 23-inch standing platform situated just in front of the seat so you can stand in this boat for the best possible casting position
  • Day hatch rocks a rubber seal cover for quick access, and the massive bow and stern hatches are lockable to keep your gear protected when your boat is racked up
  • Deck arrangement includes a paddle stager groove in top of hull, rod holders behind the seat, and rod staging in front of the cockpit tackle access points
  • Anchor/drag-chain recess uses a standard chain (not included) and retractable dog leash system that you can let go in shallow water to slow your boat while you fish
  • Tallon recesses accommodate mounts that are specialized in utilizing RAM and Scotty accessories (accessories sold separately)
  • Removable skid plate protects the bottom of your boat season after season

Great Bass Boat!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I've had the Coosa Kayak for two years now. This is the only way to fish for bass!! Works great for farm ponds that have a lot of moss and brush. I can work the Coosa into spots where a John boat only dreams of going. Float over moss and submerged trees with ease. The Coosa also has great storage for camping gear, extra fishing gear or what ever else you need to store. I mostly fish alone so I wanted a light weight kayak which could be handled easily and the Coosa is just that. Its also the perfect length for hauling in the back of a pick-up and mobility. If your looking for the perfect kayak for fishing ponds, rivers and lakes; You found it, the Jackson Coosa!

Best river boat on the market

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

If you're a river fisherman this is your boat! The rivers on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain here in Louisiana are narrow and swift - the Coosa has proven to be the perfect platform for this environment. It is short and maneuverable, allowing you to make strong paddle strokes that will get you out of sticky situations before they occur. It is stable enough to stand and flip your bait into cover and pull them out as you float on by. The hi/lo seat gives you the comfort that will keep you out on the water all day long. If there is a better river option out there I haven't been in it.

Awesome Kayak!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The Coosa is a great fit any angler looking to fish rivers, small creeks, or ponds. It is super stable and extremely responsive. I'm a professional fishing guide and put tons of first time kayak fisherman in this kayak every year. I've never had a client leave a trip not wanting to purchase a coosa of their own. The super stability of this kayak makes it very easy to become very comfortable fishing while standing, which is a huge advantage when sight fishing. This kayak rocks, and the value is unmatched at its price. Every river fisherman needs one in the their arsenal!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This expierence went well! Ok I got my Kayak in and conducted the once over to ensure all was there that needed to be there and that there was no damage(recommend having a knife with you when you recieve). I placed the order only four days earlier and I contacted backcountry multiply times to ensure the deliever would go as smooth as possible. The day before the deliver the shipping company contacted me to ensure I would be able to recieve the shipment, and was able to provide me with the drivers name and estimated time of arrival. The driver was on it and contacted me at noon and made the delivery within 30 mins. I was very please and would recommond this site and process to anyone looking for gear. There is a way to track the item but don't expect the tracker to be up the first day, but everyone was very helpful and nice.

Thanks to those at BackCountry
