The Highland Trail is a traditional top loader for easy packing, and there's a front zipper for quick access. Jack Wolfskin integrated a rain cover for stormy hikes, and there are attachments for trekking poles or ice axes. The Highland Trail's pocket configuration includes an internal hydration sleeve, a base compartment for sleeping bags, two side water bottle pockets, waist belt pockets, and a height-adjustable pocket at the removable top lid.
