Don't confuse the Integral Designs Sil Poncho with one of those $2.99 pieces of crap you see at gas stations—it's much more than just a piece of waterproof fabric. This ultra lightweight waterproof poncho not only keeps you and your pack dry as you hike, but thanks to webbing tie loops and snap closures it also functions as an emergency bivy, tarp, pack cover, or sleeping bag cover. Let's see that gas station jobby do all that. Super thin and strong silicon-impregnated parachute ripstop nylon adds durability and blocks wetness without adding excess weight. When you wear it, the Sil Poncho extends 2 ˝ feet down your arms and 4 feet front and back, and it features a drawcord that secures around your pack and snaps that prevent it from flapping in the wind.

Bottom Line: Pretty much the techiest poncho you can get.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.
