Slip into Integral Designs' waterproof Bugaboo Bivy Bag during those high-mountain rainstorms. Since no one wants to feel stuffy inside their bivy sack, the three layer eVent fabric keeps the rain out while remaining highly breathable. This means moisture vents directly to the outside of the Bugaboo Bag instead of turning into clammy wetness. Once you're inside the Bugaboo Bivy Bag, stiffen the wire hood to keep fabric off your face, and use the fixed mesh netting for bug-free air circulation. Weighing in at just 23oz, the Integral Designs' Bag packs lightly for your camping and climbing expeditions.

Bottom Line: Stay dry—without breathing stuffy air all night—in Integral Designs' Bugaboo Bivy Bag.

Absolutely. Throw a closed cell foam pad under the sack and a 1/2 or 3/4 air mattress inside. My estimation is that this adds 10-15 degrees of warmth to your sleeping bag rating. Don't expect the Event to be miraculous in terms of vapour transfer on a cold night but better than Goretex.

I don't own this, but looking at it, it perhaps could used used for snow camping (for alpin-style ascents), though I would imagine it was designed for more shoulder-season use. But it is made with eVent which is a phenomenal breathable water barrier, and as long as you had good insulation from the ground (Z-rest + winter thermarest or an Exped Downmat, etc.).

The Event shell is unbeatably breathable. Pretty good amount of room inside for a high loft sleeping bag although I found it a tad tight with a Neo Air in there too. Great zipper system, hood and bug net for the face are killer and don't give you that on the face suffocating feeling that many sacks do. Only wish it had a tie in point!
