Whether you run on the rail-to-trails system or flip truck tires at the gym, your foot stays in place with this multi-tasking fitness shoe.
Shoes are not just shoes. You cannot comfortably wear your male partner's shoes, just like he cannot squeeze his paw into your ballet slipper flats. It is this fundamental truth that motivated Inov8 to create the Women's F-Lite 215 Trail Running Shoe. Based on the Inov8 F-lite 230, this women-specific shoe sports a narrow heel and greater sole surface area for increased stability and grip on uneven surfaces, including those littered with your kid's toys.
The upper consists of a lightweight, breathable mesh to keep your foot fairly cool and dry through intense workouts. TPU laminate doubles as a lacing system and lateral support, while Rope-Tec reinforcements protect your paws from friction burns as your scream up and shimmy down the 15-foot rope. Whether you're a slight heel striker or a full-on mid-foot runner, the injected EVA midsole cushions your footfall for softer, longer running comfort, while the midsole fascia band gives your foot a little extra push forward. Along the same lines, the 6mm heel-forefoot drop supports a mild heel strike while encouraging a more forward foot strike.
The F-Lite 215 employs the Precision last in conjunction with the female-focused shape. Now, when you're ripping off sets of burpees or running through your urban trail system, your foot stays still in the shoe instead of flopping around like a fish out of water. Sticky compound on the sole ups the ante on grip so your wheels don't come out from under you when the ground is slick or you're squatting with big weight.

Great, versatile shoe
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs large
I've been running and crossfitting in this shoe and have loved wearing them! They are comfy, lightweight, and give my feet adequate support for a minimalist shoe. I would, however, disagree with the previous commenter about size; I ordered my normal shoe size (7.5) and will be ordering a size 7 next time! My only problem with the shoe is it's durability, the rubber that curls around the toe box of the shoe started to pull away after only wearing the shoes around 3 times.
Great shoe, runs small
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
I already own these shoes, and just bought another pair of so I'll have a back-up when the current ones are worn out. They are unbelievably light and comfortable, yet give good arch support. I use them for Crossfit. I haven't tried running in them, but suspect my feet would get achey from the minimal cushioning. They do run small, and I feel stupid for not having double-checked the size of my current pair before re-ordering. I am now returning 8.5 (my regular size) for 9.
