Good for its intended use

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Excellent build quality and low profile. Fit on our 2006 Toyota Matrix with out hitting the antenna and allowing the rear hatch to fully open. Also a great low profile box if you have clearance issues (garage). The only downside is that the longest skis that I could fit were my Rossignol S3's which are 186cm (a little longer if you loaded them diagonally) even though the exterior dimensions are ~200cm.

Great roof box

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Purchased and successfully fitted to a 2013 Subaru Outback (in the closer together of the two rail positions, which means it should fit 2011, 2012 and 2014 Outbacks fine). The boot still opens fine and doesn't contact the box.

Very nicely made box, works well. The latching method is the best I've seen compared to Yakima or Thule.

Definitely recommend. Do try to work out if it'll fit your car though. I found Inno's guide very hard to make work, and their email replies were not quick of detailed.

Perfect Fit

Just mounted the Shadow 16 INNO box on my 2011 Grand Cherokee. The fit is perfect and the look is much cleaner than pictures I've seen of the comparable Yakima box. This box seems to be very well designed and made.

I've utilized Thule's Rapid Podium base mounted to the factory rails then topped with the Thule Aero bars. It all fits and functions well with no wind noise.

Using the factory roof rails, the span between the Thule Aero Bars is 31". At full span the box does touch the factory antenna but interference is very minimal. I've set the box slightly off center on the roof to minimize this issue. One could set the Aero bars at 29" apart (move the rear rail and the box forward) and thus avoid the antenna.

Will this fit a 2013 Subaru Outback with factory crossbars?

Yes. I have a 2013 Outback with factory rails, and have the box fitted to it right now. I have the rear rail in the more forward of the two positions, and the box set pretty far forward. The tail gate opens fine. The moon roof also opens fine with the box on.

In the picture the shadow 15 and 14 don't look like the glossy black. The 16 does. Does anybody know if the 15 is glossy or dull black? Thanks!
