A few months ago, I welcomed my feet to the toe-socks to try and battle blisters. Even in a wide toe-box shoe, I was having issues between my toes. Luckily, these have done their job and it has made a world of difference for my running. I won't wear anything else. I have these (mid-weight) and the lightweight sock. These are certainly more padded than the lightweight, but these have been great for big mile days or when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of descending and pounding my feet. Surprisingly, even with the extra padding, my feet still keep cool and they dry quickly after river crossings.
My one complaint is that the mid-weight padding feels like it goes around the entire sock, making the toes a little tighter in the shoe (compared with my lightweight version of these). From a design and use stand point, I just want the extra cushion on the bottom of my feet...the area I'm protecting. After a few runs, it seems to have packed down a bit as I don't have the feeling of squished toes. So at this point, they feel perfect.
If you have blister problems and are looking for a quality running sock with a little extra cush, I would highly recommend these. It may feel silly at first and you may get some questions, but you can't argue with happy feet.

My shoe size is a size 6. The Small fit well - a little extra room in some of the smaller toes but overall the sock is not too loose. It takes some getting used to, having fabric between all of your toes, so you may want to ease into wearing these for longer runs. I don't get blisters when I wear these socks, however, I don't get blisters when I wear other performance socks (Feetures! and Balega). I don't really see a need for toe socks, but there were no ill effects either.
I had never tried or been a fan of toe socks before but got to try some for a long trail run yesterday. They were awesome! no blisters and my toes felt good. They are a little hard to put on but so worth it.
