Fun in the sun, pow, and groomers.

Skiers are wanderers by nature, so Icelantic designed the Nomad RKR Ski to be the perfect sidekick on all your powder-crushing, hardpack-cruising, and mountain-exploring adventures. Since it's designed to rally whatever sort of terrain you point it at, the Nomad sports a hybrid camber and rocker construction, with a slight-but-edgy 2mm of camber underfoot and a rockered tip and tail that smooth out rough snow and plane over fluff for a fun, versatile ride that'll never have you wishing you brought your other boards to the hill. The springy poplar core keeps things playful on side-of-the-trail hits and medium-sized cliff drops, but it's been laid up with two fiberglass laminates, one unidirectional and one triaxial, for lateral and fore/aft stiffness that let you drive the Nomad hard without it getting noodly (Icelantic gives the Nomad RKR a 7/10 flex rating, if you're curious).

The binding mount zone's been reinforced with a fiberglass plate—if you've never pulled out a heelpiece, now's not a good time to start—and the sidewalls are made of rugged Durasurf 2001 P-Tex. The Durasurf 4001 bases are sintered for speed and wax retention, and the 2.2mm steel edges slice up the frontside with the all precision of a Japanese blade, so you can jump turn the chute off the summit, mob through the open terrain, and finish off on a groomer without batting an eyelash. And, of course, there are Icelantic's famous graphics, done by artist Travis Parr and guaranteed to help you start chairlift convos with the hottie on the rental boards.
