When you're traveling the West in search of the best mountains, rarely will you find those mountains blanketed with bottomless powder, so be ready to make the most of the hardpack with the Icelantic Gypsy SKNY Ski. While the massively proportioned Icelantic Gypsy is a powder-slaying machine, this slimmed down version brings that inspiring playful feel down to a versatile 99mm waist for a fun, all-mountain feel.
Maintaining the progressive reverse camber profile, the Gypsy will make the mountain your playground with a playful feel that will scrub speed, slarve turns, and still carve like a fiend when you roll them over on edge. Staying true to its playful feel is a forgiving flex that's soft enough to butter around but just stiff enough to keep the ski stable when you're racing your posse back to the base. Like all Icelantic skis, the Gypsy SKNY is made in Colorado with Icelantic's Tri-Axe sandwich construction, which sandwiches a playful poplar core between two torsionally stiff fiberglass laminates. Durasurf 4001 sintered bases make these skis super tough, while 2.2mm steel edges add some peace of mind when you're doing some low-tide shredding. The Gypsy SKNY weighs in a full pound lighter than it's chunky older brother, making it easier to spin, hop, and shoulder back to the car.
