Description

For the trip to and time at a quaint villa.

It's good to look nice when you fly on business or make a short trip to see family during the holidays, and it's nice to be able to be comfortable enough for rest during those extended trips as well so you can be on your game when you arrive. That's why Icebreaker added Lycra spandex to the breathable, soft merino wool in the Women's Villa Pant. With a casual yet sophisticated look, the Villa Pant suits your need to be comfortable on cramped flights, long-distance train rides, and even those exhausting walks to take in the sights of an ancient city. The merino wool naturally regulates your temperature and deals with odor so you won't have to worry about laundry either.

Loved them when they first arrived. Comfy, look nice. Then, about the 4th time I put them on, the seam connecting the right front pocket with the front of the pants pulled out. What a disappointment.

Just what I expected. Warm, cozy, have not washed them yet, but so far no stretching in the knees. Plan to take them as post ski pants that are comfy and warm but suitable around the fireplace. Tiny bit itchy around the front waistband but expect that to diminish when I wash them. Overall, very happy.

At 170 lbs. with generous and strong legs, the XL are snug but workable. I had the Rio Pant (previous version) and wore them to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, then wore them at least twice a week for about a year and a half, until the seams started to wear thin on the inner thighs (those strong legs). It was tough to toss them until I bought 3 more pair. Note: if you have long legs, these are awesome: I'm 5'6" and had all hemmed by at least 2". These are my go-to pants in 3 seasons. The fabric holds it's black (no fading); they work for sport, R&R and make nice dress pants too.

My favorite thing about these pants is you can throw on some heels and a nice top and wear it to the office. Additionally, I wear them around the house in cooler temperatures.

They are a fairly relaxed fit (which is why they look great for the office) without a flare. Enough room to comfortably layer with fitted leggings. I am 5'5", 26waist, 38 hips, ordered a small: fit long on me unless I wear fairly high heels with them and pull up the waist; comfortable/relaxed around the waist. Maybe I should have gotten an XS, but I'm just going to get them hemmed and keep them with the 'relaxed fit.'

I just purchased this pant, after owning several tops by Icebreaker. They exceed my expectations. The fit is perfect... size small... 5'4" and 112 lbs and the fabric is a soft wool with silky feel.

They are already favorite, and will pack for both post hiking and skiing, and lounging at home.

Two questions: What is the inseam on these pants? ...and would these be suitable for traveling in hot temps, or are they best for cooler temps?

34 inch inseam. They would be good in both hot and cool temps. One of the main advantages of merino is it really allows thermoregulation to take place at either end of the spectrum. It cools you when you are hot, it warms you when you are warm and is very breathable.

@ Arthur Debowski - Does the 34" inseam apply to all sizes? I'm tall and usually wear a small, so I was wondering specifically about the inseam on the size small.

The Villa Pant is the updated Rio pant. Icebreaker removed some of the seaming detail on the legs and made a nice yoke back with a wider waist band.
