Icebreaker SuperFine190 Gathering Birds V-Neck Top - Women's - 2009 BCS

Love it love it love it. I'm wearing it right now and just hiked kilimanjaro in it. Wore it a good 3 days straight and it didn't really smell. Looks and fits great, I hike in it and it's now one of my favorite shirts just to wear around.
I read a bunch of other reviews of icebreaker's clothes and people were saying that everything they owned would be icebreaker if they could afford it. I'm right there with them. All my shirts would be icebreaker if money weren't an issue.
And I think the birds are cute too.

I have these in blue and they're really nice. The color is beautiful and the print is very unique. The V-neck is not too low cut as it doesn't show the Icebreaker cami I wear underneath. Sleeves are very short and cut at a diagonal. I can and do wear these to work and for exercise. I only wish this shirt was 1"-2" longer -- these seem shorter than my 190 Tech Ts. For those who are new to Icebreaker, this shirt is a 190 weight, which is lightweight but not the lightest (lightest = 140). I'd wear this shirt up to maybe 90 degrees F. Soft and silky as are all Icebreaker 190 garments. Just bought the black one too since it's a great exercise top (V-neck and short short sleeves make this a very vented shirt).

A little shorter in length than some of the other icebreaker items I own.

Why should merino be just for your techy sport clothes? Merino is beautiful and holds color really nicely. Colors are more bold than cotton, and wool sometimes has a slight, bright sheen to it. The SuperFine 140 merino is really soft and light. Merino actually breathes better than synthetics so it really is a logical choice for summer. Also, merino naturally doesn't hold order so these don't get stinky. Icebeaker has some really fun, nature inspired designs and the birds on this shirt are a nice, subtle addition. I'm most often a medium shirt in various brands, and the medium fit me nicely. (All of my other Icebreaker tops are also medium.) I'd say this is more on the side of a relaxed cut vs. fitted. The color Neptune appears a little bit purple in the photo, but it is not at all purple in the flesh. It's a nice dark blue, I'd say somewhere between royal and navy.
