The Icebreaker Men’s SuperFine 150 Detour Polo Shirt takes technical Merino wool construction and applies it to stylish casual fashion. This three-button polo has flatlock seams for extra comfort, raw edge detailing, and a left breast pocket where you can stash the small stuff.

  • Icebreaker switched from 150g/m2 to 140g/m2 merino wool halfway through production, so you might receive either weight (the weight of the 140 merino is just a little bit lighter)

Bottom Line: A technical polo shirt that you can wear hiking.

Good casual shirt

Not sure what you guys are complaining about... you can clearly see the edges are raw and unsymmetric attributes of the shirt from the pictures. It is done on purpose. I got one in jungle (green) and another in bark (brown). Sizing was consistent for those two shirts. It fits slightly loose on me and feels pretty good. Well ok, one of the shirt is slightly itchier than the other and has some piling (maybe tried on and returned?), but not too bad. Shirt looks better in person. I like it.

Love Icebreaker...hated the Detour

Gotta agree with the previous review-love Icebreaker but not a fan of this product. Very thin material and unfinished edges give a cheap appearance. IMHO, material is itchier than other Icebreaker gear and not close to the comfort of Ibex and Patagonia wool. Should be labeled "super slim" fit as I can wear most slim fit shirts but this one fits like a wetsuit. Not only tight but also short...I'm 6'2" and couldn't tuck it in the XL if I wanted.

Not consistent size

I love the Kent Polo by Icebreakers and wanted to duplicate the merino experience in other colors. This shirt does not fit like their Kent Polo. I you are looking to show off the 6 pack abs go with this shirt other wise the Kent Polo is roomier.

Raw edges? eh.

I have never met an icebreaker shirt I didn't like until this one. I bought this for my boyfriend not realizing it had the unfinished edges and an asymmetrical pocket. It's an ok shirt if you're hitting the club but not to wear to work or to dress up for an event. We returned it for the Kent polo instead, a basic clean cut polo shirt.

Icebreaker SuperFine 140 Detour Polo Shirt

By:

"Raw Edge Detailing" doesn't cut it. For a Polo Shirt that costs more than $80.00 you expect finished edges. Fit is skimpy for the average build (5' 8"/155#) and the asymetrical pocket construction doesn't do it for me. The fabric is as thin as any I have seen from Icebreaker. Disappointed to say the least.
I couldn't return it fast enough.

The fabric should be as thin as any from icebreaker: it is their thinnest-grade wool.
