cool pants!

long inseam in size large (I usually am a size 10 & need 35 inseam with jeans) the fit is very loose (more so than the Lily pant´s), the fabric is NOT superfine 190 but some similar weight with 2 % lycra (even the Icebreaker homepage doesn´t mention that!)... anyway, this will be my ONE travelling pant!

Good casual pant

By:

I looked ALL over the internet for a review of this pant, and finally decided to just risk it and buy it! The pictures on here aren't super clear, but think "lux sweat pants with cargo pockets." The waistband is wide - wasn't sure at first if I liked it, but after wearing them around - decided I do. The pockets are deep cargo style.

I was hoping the pants might be a little more "study" - but then they probably wouldn't be 100% wool if they were. The fit is flattering. I waiver between 8s and 10s and bought the medium - they fit well. I'm planning travel with these pants. I hope they don't look too casual - but I think with the right tops and layering, they'll look really nice. I mostly bought them because they are wool. They stand true to the Icebreaker name (I'm a huge fan!) - they aren't itchy and they're very comfortable!

Hope that's helpful in case anyone else was wavering like me!

What is the inseam length? It sure would be helpful if Backcountry

What is the inseam length? It sure would be helpful if Backcountry would list the length for pants and shirts.

Disappointed, but depends on what you're looking for

This is definitely a casual pant, just not what I expected. The label says it's 190 weight superfine. The fit is rather loose -- not quite like in the picture -- I have a 39" hip and ordered a M, the the hip and legs are very wide. The look is similar to a wide-leg work pant, so I thought maybe I could wear it to work, but there's a strip down the side of each leg that isn't seamed, which definitely dresses the pant down. The waistband is not as wide as in the icebreaker lily pant, and the weird thing is the width set aside for what should have been the elastic is much wider than the elastic itself. Also, the pockets weren't particularly deep -- I guess deep is relative. The material is very comfortable, as expected for any icebreaker superfine 190-weight garment (I'm a huge fan of other icebreaker items). Maybe I'll try a small instead?

I'm glad someone mentioned that there's a strip down the side of each leg that isn't seamed. I thought there was a quality control problem with the pair I got. Why do they put the unseamed side on the outside? I think it looks like a mistake.

super comfortable pant

These pants are a great fit - I'm a size 6 but got the medium and they fit just below the waist and hang nicely (a little loose but I personally wouldn't want thin wool pants to fight tight). They are on the casual side, but I think you can dress them up a bit with the right top. I'm going to italy for 2 weeks and plan to wear these pants on the flight, sight-seeing, to dinner and just about anywhere else. Because they're wool, they won't wrinkle and will hold the shape....and they're super comfortable. My mom has already tried to steal them...

Great style and go-anywhere

I love these pants. Silky smooth, they are smart enough to wear around the city, casual enough to dress down. They are made of a double layer of merino, so they hang well and aren't see-through. At the moment where I am the temps are around 15 degrees celsius in the day, and these pants are perfect for the climate. I think they'd be a bit warm in the heart summer, but for the other three seasons you can live in them. They are outrageously comfortable, the pockets hold your keys and cellphone without any danger of them falling out. I gave these pants a travel roadtest the weekend before last - they don't crumple and they are simply the best thing to wear on a flight.
