The Icebreaker Men's Slalom Crewe Top gives you expedition warmth without all the bulk. Whether you wear it by itself for a run or layer it under your ski clothes, this itch-free top is far softer than conventional wool and won't stink like a synthetic top. Super-soft 260g-merino wool makes the Slalom Crewe part of the Bodyfit line, which Icebreaker touts as the warmest performance underwear in the world. For functionality, elastic thumb loops prevent the sleeves from riding up, and a double-stitched neckline helps this top hold its shape. Although I love Icebreaker, I returned this shirt. I bought an extra large per the description of sizing (i.e., to fit chest) but found the arms a couple of inches too long (I am 6 ft 1 with 33 inch length arms). Guess the advice is be care on sizing. The site was great in accepting the return however and promptly refunded my money.
