Icebreaker Skin Mondo Zip - Men's - 2005 BCS

I’ve wanted to try one for a long time. Needless to say, I was not disappointed once I finally did. It did a great job regulating my body temperature on both a warm spring ski day at the resorts and a colder "winter" day in the backcountry. I can't wait to get more of their stuff!

While wearing Icebreaker, I did not feel cold once. It is a fiber which doesn’t shrink even if you wash it violently in a washing machine. The form fits the body grat. It is the best for running on a mountain high in a cold season.

I received my skin mondo about one month ago. I've used it six times backcountry skiing in cold to warm conditions. The fabric itself is warmer then any synthetic brand I have ever used. When I'm hiking in sun and baking hot, I actually feel cooler and drier then those so-called wicking fabrics. As far as the claim that it does not hold odor, I have yet to wash mine and could probably go a few more weeks.

Soon I hope to have an entire wardrobe by Icebreaker.

I got a Mondo Zip for my husband for his birthday as a base layer for skiing. He uses it for everything he does and I couldn't be happier. It's very light weight and super comfy. Mtn biking, skiing, touring, running, you name it and it's now the only piece he chooses for his base layer. All I need to do is throw it in the wash once a week and off he goes again. And, now he never leaves his personal aroma along with his dirty laundry on the bedroom floor. I know what he'll be getting from Santa this year..more Icebreaker.

The Ice Breaker Mondo zip truly is a marvel. I have had it for a month now and I wear it for all kinds of activities as well as just lounging around the house. It is comfortable, form fitting, warm, and most importantly it really does repel body odors. So much so that it smells just like the day I bought it even after wearing it for days.

Most of my friends made the switch to Icebreaker some time ago, but I thought, how good could this stuff really be? I'm eating my hat. I purchased a Mondo Zip just to shut them up. It's super lightweight, not too hot, never too cold, always feeling dry and a great fit. OK, OK, I'm hooked and tossing out all my old synthetics and switching to Icebreaker. The Mondo Zip rules!

For years, my base layer consisted of Hi-Tech man made products from different companies. After reading and hearing suggestions from others, I settled on a NATURAL product, Hi-End Merino Wool. I choose ICEBREAKER for their variety of styles and colors. I needed something to go underneath my Icebreaker Rock Zip (mid weight) as the next2skin layer (I always prefer a light and then a mid weight layer before adding an insulating layer). Let me tell you, the MONDO Zip is beyond words. After wearing for hours skiing or hiking, I do not feel damp like the man-made stuff, especially after adding layers when I need too. Yes, I am getting another one in a different color, of course. How can you go wrong with this product or any other product from ICEBREAKER? TRY IT!
