I own a few pair

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Thank you to and Icebreaker for hand-selecting me to review this piece of gear for the benefit of the community!

These socks are a beast. I've put the pair I own through the wringer... I like to pack light when I ski, and wool is the way to go. I usually bring 2 pair for a week long trip. It sounds gross, but it's wool! It's a naturally wicking material and it airs out! If you get really sweaty, rinse them out and let them dry! It's no different than hiking in the same socks for days on end. :) These suckers hold up, for sure.

The best part about these is the "lightness." I like how thin they are with the perfect amount of cushioning. I don't mean weak thin; they are plenty tough. I just like the ability to not feel like I am wearing a slipper inside my boot. I also like the light cushion around the shin.

Another bonus is that they don't cut off circulation. I've been through some darn toughs and smartwools, and I've found that some of them leave some serious indents in my skin afterwards. I don't get that with these socks. I've even fallen asleep in them and woke up with all my veins working properly in my legs!

Pictures to come soon!
