Description

Don’t take your hiking socks skiing. Use the socks made for skiing.

Icebreaker made the Men’s Skier Lite Sock with thin zones for extra breathability and thicker zones for extra padding, so it keeps your foot padded while regulating temperature. Merino wool offers plenty of warmth for a January powder day, and it won’t cause your foot to overheat like some synthetic fabrics.

But these socks earned it. Great price for an awesome sock I put a ton of runs on and they still look new, I tour in them, Tele and mad on and off piste and they take whatever I give them. Snug compressed fit don't sag either.

Not too bulky. Super warm. Nice cut, fit and elasticity. Exactly what any sock should be.

What about wearing these socks in Australia...

What about wearing these socks in Australia Up the North West WA where temperature is around 40-55degrees bloody hot in summer not winter where all the other people are using these socks?

I need socks that dry quickly as I am socking wet in sweat not Ice.

These socks are very comfortable, not too tight, kept my feet warm at the slopes and just did their job. Merino is the bomb, and they are thin enough where you can wear another sock over or under these for extra warmth. I have worn Lorpen Merino and well as their silk, and Smartwool. I seem to love these with one of the Lorpen's on super cold days.

I would like to know what the height is,...

I would like to know what the height is, in inches, from the heel of the sock to the top of the skier socks. My boyfriend is 6'8" and has a hard time finding socks that are long enough for him. I am hoping these will do the trick since it says they go over the knee.

Thanks,

Actually they are not over the knee but up to the knee.

I never thought I'd be this geeked on socks, I rarely wash them (not a hippie) and they're always dry and clean- it's amazing! I have a size medium and they come up about knee length but if I pull them down a little lower they still don't bunch up. I always rub holes in the heels of my socks and haven't done it with these and probably worn them more than any other pair. Merino can't be faked or duplicated. If you'd never tried it before, these make you a believer and retire your polyester socks. They also don't get all loose and saggy after wearing them and pulling them on and off a bunch.
