Here's what others have to say...

too short

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small
  • Height: 6'
    Weight: 200 lbs
    Size Purchased: xl

If you're 5'10 or less this sock will prob fit. A longer let will find it NOT over the calf but mid & lower calf which means it won't stay up. The foot fits well & comfortable, but the rise is too short even on XL size. There is absolutely no stretch built in to pull it up, so its strictly for a shorter leg.

Super comfy and warm

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I've used these on almost every alpine trip I've been on since I got them, and they are the first where I've had no blisters, ever. They are also pretty warm considering their thickness, so A+ on that too.

    Size Purchased: Small

I agree with the other reviews; these are great socks that keep your feet warm on super freezing days and seemingly never smell. Will definitely be getting several more pairs.

Kept me warm

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

Just got back from two days of skiing in zero degree temps and had no issues with cold feet. Would recommend these socks.

Best. Ski socks. Ever.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Skiid all day in zero F and wind in Colorado, toes were toasty warm. Very comfy, almost silky feel inside the boot. Better fabric than Smartwool, imo.

More merino = more absorbent and warmth for the weight, but more nylon = more durability and less fuzzing. These have just about as much merino as they can squeeze in without compromising durability. (They will fuzz up a bit after you wash them a couple of time. Ignore that. That's the nature of wool.)

Mind blowing awesome socks!

So I have worn about a dozen different brand and style of socks. I have written probably five sock reviews. These socks are my favorite, I also have the same with the ultralite but not my favorite. First off I use these socks knowing the durability is not that great, they feel like all wool that is sewn very sparingly which will allow to wear quickly. But the way I see it if I get 70 days out of them then that is cool. So I finished a trip to Jackson area three weeks ago and came back and thought I lost these so I immediately ordered another pair after going thru all my clothes, sure enough found the sock but shows how important they are. I have always rocked ultralite socks, when I tried the lite smartwool last year it was a disaster so kept to ultra, then I decided to give these a shot this season. Absolutely loved them, they maybe fit and wouldn't have last year due to packing out not sure. They are just the most comfortable (left/right seemless stitching), softest (thick but highly compressible wool), warmest, padding in the right areas, super warm toe box. Also love the grasshopper color scheme. My go to socks especially with my touring boots.

Great ski sock.

These socks are great, I bought several pairs to use for the Snowboard season and so far they have stood up to serious use. I got boarding nearly 3 days a week and rotate through the 3 pair I have, so far there hasn't been any visible wear from use. They even don't stink when I forget to wash them after I go boarding. They've gone 2 weeks before without washing and they smell way better then any other sock I've forgotten wash has before.

No sweaty feet!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I bought these because I wanted a fitted, antimicrobial, and warm sock that does not make my feet sweaty in my hot boots. I'm happy to say this sock passes all of these requirements. The best part is I am able to use these socks for the next session, if I am behind on my laundry, because they prevent funky odors. These socks also help me with promoting good circulation in my lower leg area and toes, because of the over calf design and the athletic fit.

Warm and Protective

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

These socks are super warm and have really good padding in the shins. I get boot bang pretty bad and these definitely help cushion the impact from stiff freeride boots. They also are very high in height and run almost all the way up to my knee and I'm 6'1" tall. Definitely my go to sock on colds days.
