Description

The right fit is so good.

Pull the Icebreaker Men's Skier+ Lite Sock onto the wrong foot, and you'll have to spend the rest of the day skiing backward. That's simply because this strategically padded sock has a anatomic design specific to the left and right foot. We have confidence in your ability to make the right (or left) decision here ... otherwise we hope you give up skiing and start something a bit less dangerous.

These are warm and comfortable. The padding is just the right amount for me and in the right places. I wore them for 2 days and the still haven't stretched.

Best socks ever. You put em on and you feel like iron man. Totally love these things.

And they're pretty great for snowboarding too.

Super sweet sock! You can wear these socks for multiple days without washing them (if you like) and they still fit and support your foot almost like day 1. One of the things I look for in a ski sock is a sock that provides a constant snug fit along with minimal padding so that I may be as close to the ski boot as possible. These socks do a great job in both areas but maybe have a little more padding than I would like compared to other “lite” ski socks I’ve used in the past. It’s nothing that would deter me from wearing them or purchasing another pair but it’s something that everyone should be aware of. I’m comparing these to my SmartWool Racer socks and Bridgedale Heel Fit Lightweight socks both of which have less padding. I would recommend these to anybody looking for a great performance ski sock.

The only problem with these is that they go over the knee; our son has to roll them down. He is 6', size 10 shoe.

I'm 5'11 size 11.5 shoe and they are almost to my knee.

I have never been disappointed in Icebreaker, and the Skier+ Lite sock is no exception. The socks have a great anatomical fit, and I'm very impressed with the not-really-a-seam seam at the toe. I forget what they call this, but it's extremely low profile. (You can't tell that it's there). I think it's done inside out or in some other fashion. The socks look like they will hold up well, and are comparable in thickness to other brands' lightweight ski socks. These are more of a performance thickness. If you like thicker socks, I check out the midweight version, but these are surprisingly warm for their relative thinness.

I admit, Icebreaker is one of my favorites. The skier+ lite sock is excellent. I actually wore this sock for about 20 ski days when I finally threw it in the wash (I know ridiculous)...anyway...the sock was just as perfect, snug, and smartly tailored to my leg and foot as it was on day one--only slightly funky. I hate to compare but I think the sock is better than any of the other top ski manufacturers. I wear an XL in this sock with an 11.5 foot size and the fit is perfect. I really recommend this sock!

And all of you Lange boot wearers, who have the Boot Doctor put you in a few sizes too small--wear the ultra-thin...works great and prevents blue toe nails.

By "wear the ultrathin" do you mean this sock or some other model?

he means this sock -- it is the thin Icebreaker one. They also make a thicker one - not a 'Lite'.
