Sierra Glove
The Icebreaker Sierra Glove will keep your digits protected from chilly weather on their own while you're hiking, cycling, or just heading out around town. Made primarily from merino wool, these gloves wick moisture and regulate temperature, while a DWR treatment repels moisture if it starts to snow. Thumb strangely long
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
The pair I ordered had a thumb which was as long as the longest fingers. The rest of my fingers fit but the thumb sleeve was absurdly long. I have normal shaped hands.

Pills and Rips Easily
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I didn't believe the reviews that indicated rips at seams and small holes appearing. Icebreaker makes the best wool stuff around. I use these gloves simply to keep my hands warm on outdoors runs. It's still cold here and I'm still wearing these gloves. Three months and a wash or two later, these things look like they are two years old: pilled everywhere and a hole between the fingers. Will be starting a warranty claim. Terrible use of good money.

Fragile indeed
I received these gloves three months ago. They aren?t warm enough for cold Colorado nights. But, I like that they are slim enough to function as liners under my ski gloves. I was shocked when I put them on today and discovered holes in two finger tips. As liners, they aren?t exposed to anything, and my nails are short, so I don?t know how two holes could have developed with such little use. Money wasted.

Really warm & thin, but fragile
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- XS
Great dexterity with these and perfect weight for cool weather biking, though the palms and fingers have only light grip. The only problem is that a hole tore along a seam near my palm only a month of using them. Maybe I put too much stress on them from stretching the fingers to reach the brakes on my drop bars.
