This snug fitting mid-layer insulates with the power of 100% merino wool, which doesn't hold odor, regulates your core temperature, and breathes like crazy. To mix things up a little, Icebreaker gave the midweight Nomad Hooded Top raglan sleeves and a three-piece hood, so you can meander into a cold wind with no worries. The Nomad's thumb loops prevent your sleeves from riding while the ¼-zip helps you drop heat when you work up a sweat.

While I did love the feel of this garment, I found it to be cut without much shape; the small hung loose and a bit wide/large, and it was rather short in the torso for me, though I am quite petite (5'2"). For relative comparison, I found the smartwool (microweight zip-top) and I/O Bio Merino (Glory Hooded zip-top) peices to be more fitted and yet longer. I haven't tried any other Icebreaker items yet, but I would like to as others have said they are cut longer.Loved the feel. But I returned this item, it was shapeless and too short.

warm, extremely practical for a variety of different activities-any sport, and any activity that you could use a sweatshirt for.
it is sooo easy to throw on with or without layers.. it's also good looking.
my criticism would be that it needs 2 front/side pockets--zip would be great..

This is my first Icebreaker garment (besides socks) and I know know what all the hype is about. Doesn't smell, super warm, love the hood.
