Start your motor with the 100% merino wool Icebreaker Women's Ignition Zip. Wear this expedition weight top on its own for early-morning runs or as a layering piece when you need extra warmth in the winter. The extra-long zipper and high insulating collar let you seal in warmth when you can still see your breath and ventilate easily as the day warms up. The Ignition Zip shirt fits closely thanks to stretch side panels, and it has no shoulder seams, which decreases chafing when you're wearing a pack. The super-soft merino wool doesn't itch and doesn't stink like synthetic materials. Thumb loops and a dropped tail make this top excellent for Nordic skiing. This top has something for everyone who works hard in the outdoors.

Despite all the claims and rave reviews, my experience with Icebreaker has been disappointing. I have tried Ignition 1/2 Zip, Olympia Zip, Bodyfit tech top, and am not impressed by any one of them, especially this one. The Ignition's material and fit are restrictive, and it’s not comfortable to wear. Icebreaker will not be my choice of clothing for active or outdoor sports. I’m sticking with synthetics for climbing or running.
Long enough to keep out the chill

I like this pullover because the arms and body are long enough to keep you covered and warm. I am only 5ft 8in and not particularly long-waisted, but it seems that most manufacturers size their items a little short. I've worn the pullover twice (for casual wear), but I haven't washed it yet. It does not hold odors like synthetics.

I don't ski a lot after kid number two. But when I do, I always freeze. My husband got me an Ignition Zip for Christmas and he's the man! I wear it over a lighter weight icebreaker as a middle layer under. Now I stay plenty warm and comfy, even on the magic carpet teaching my kids. It's wonderful how something so low bulk can be so toasty warm.

Perfect for me on the slopes, on a plane or when I'm stuck in a freezing cold conference room (winter or summer)! Lightweight, warm and very stylish, it goes everywhere with me. I was once told to always pack my swim suit and a pair of under roos in my carry on because you never know...well this is the first thing I throw in my bag unless it's already on. BEST BUY EVER!
