This is a great hoodie!

I am 6'1" and I purchased a large in this. While it is a little big it is very comfortable and can wear anytime during the spring and fall and be really comfortable!

Perfect hoodie

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this after thinking I wanted the Quattro hoodie. The Quattro is cut more like a traditional hoodie, i.e. square and boxy and I prefer slim and fitted. The Quantum is cut more like bicycle clothing and works perfectly as my around town, bicycling outer layer and going to yoga coverup. I love the standup/zip up collar that acts like a scarf too. On the bike or on cold mornings it adds just the right amount of warmth without bulk. Looks super sharp too. One note, it doesn't have side pockets, which I don't need, but if you want them then you'll be disappointed.

Excellent jacket

I just loved this jacket, from the first time i put it on. Warm and cozy with a nice slim fit. I have the XXL, and found that the arms could be longer. I also noticed a slight burling, so I hope that does not continue. My other Icebreaker sweathers seem to look good for a long time, so I hope this will as well. Regular price is pretty steep, thankfully it is often discounted.

Wear it everywhere

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this on backcountry hikes, ski trips, and just around town. It's unbelievably comfortable and versatile. While the tight-fitting hood looks a little weird walking around the city, it's perfect for keeping you warm in the backcountry. The zipper and mesh on side hotspots make this hoodie really good at dumping heat when necessary. It also makes for a great second midlayer in colder conditions. This is a must own.

best hoodie ever

I'm 6' and 185lbs. I bought a large and it fits great. I love the feel of the fabric, the warmth (even when wet), and the fact that it's basically impossible to make this smelly.

I wear the hood up under a bicycle helmet sometimes. Unlike other hoods, this one doesn't interfere with turning your neck or your field of view on the bike. Unlike a cap, it keeps the back of your neck warm too!

Can someone provide fitting details on...

Can someone provide fitting details on this? I'm 6'1 and 183lbs. Not looking for a baggy jacket.

Responded on

These fit fairly close. I would go with a large, though there is enough Lycra that an XL would probably work as well.

Nice one... might have to buy another!

Nice thickness... for really cold days, I wear my arc'teryx covert hoody but this is good for most days ice climbing (fits under the helmet), hiking, etc.

Layer up with this one

So far i've mostly worn this as a second base layer when at lower activities levels. The two was zipper makes it really flexible. The hood fits super snug, especially around the neck, a little strange at first to feel it, but makes sense as it keeps the volume of the hood down.

Great secondary base layer for colder days or lower activity.
