Description

Highly breathable bra for pavement pounders, trail runners, and climbers

Bras made purely from synthetic fabrics offer support but tend to breathe poorly. And merino breathes incredibly well, but, by itself, offers little support. The Icebreaker GT Run Rush Sports Bra blends the best of both worlds so that you get the support you need and the enhanced breathability and comfort that only merino wool can offer. Unlike traditional, long-cut wool fibers, merino wool?s fine-cut fibers are soft to the touch, because the last thing you need is an itchy sports bra. Merino wool?s natural fibers also provide excellent insulation and resist odors so you enjoy the Run Rush in any kind of weather.
  • For high-impact activities, support structure designed for women with A- and B-sized cups
  • 250g/m?? fabric rating balances internal breathability and temperature regulation so you stay comfortable without overheating in a wide variety of temps
  • Icebreaker GT technology blends merino wool with Lycra to improve support, increase durability, and accelerate garment's dry time
  • Icebreaker makes its products in a way that supports New Zealand farmers, ensures overall welfare of the sheep, and promotes sustainable manufacturing practices

I'm a D-cup, and I was looking for a non-uni-boob forming bra that would give me support for hiking and treking for long periods of time. I don't think I can wear it running because of the bounce, but it looks like this will be prefect for hiking and mid-intensity exercising.

I wear a 36B in a non-sports bra and the Rush bra (size L) is great. I tried Icebreaker's Sprite Racerback bra, which was nice but did not give me the necessary support. I play tennis and the Rush bra enables me to focus on the game instead of my chest.
In the interest of full disclosure, I must say that I am generally a devoted Icebreaker fan.
I will buy this bra again. I'm hoping for more colors in future.

Having a 32E chest makes it difficult to find sports bras but after reading the many reviews, I decided to take the plunge. I bought this initially for a ski trip and now use it for running and my Shaun T Insanity workouts. Love love love it. It was a bit tight in the beginning however, the fibers do relax. The best part is that it doesn't smell after a sweaty workout.

Highly recommend this and will buy it again. FYI.. I am 5'2" & 125lbs and I bought this in Medium.

Bought for a 4 day hiking trip, used for tennis on a cold day and love it! Great when you workout or do an activity that makes you sweaty but you don't have time to change right away ... Drys fast will not make you cold... Runs super small! Ordered the medium, lol gave to 5' 100 lbs daughter... Ordered XL and it works... L may have worked but not available
I am 5'8 140 lbs 36 B or 34 C

This bra is supportive enough for running, and comfortable enough for sleeping. Merino is unrivaled for sport wear because of it's wicking and antimicrobial properties, and Icebreaker makes some of the best merino garments out there. A bit spendy but definitely worth it.

I found this on sale and was pleasantly surprised by how well it fit. I'm a 36C and bought the large. It's supportive enough for my cardio endeavors while also being comfy. The band stays in place and straps are wide so they don't dig. So far I've used it and washed it a bunch and haven't seen any stretching or change in fit. I can't wait to buy another and another.

I love love this bra. I'm a 34C and have a size S. It's a bit tight to get on and off but once it's on it's really comfortable and holds everything in place nicely. No rub spots or anything.

And like others have said, it doesn't smell. At all.

I've used it both running and cycling, and if it were still on sale I'd buy 3 more!

I love the material, the fit though...it's quite snug! I wear a 38B bra, I'm not fat, just broad, and the XL is pretty tight.

I have a fairly full bust. I always measure as a 36B but in actuality I wear a 34E. I wear US size 10-12 clothes. I have had a hard time finding a merino sports bra to fit me. The Icebreaker GT Run Rush bra is the closest I have found yet. I ordered size L and it works fine for low-impact activities (I wear it for cycling). I'd prefer a slightly smaller band and fuller cups but this is a decent compromise. The merino blend fabric doesn't get soggy-feeling when I sweat like my all-synthetic bras do. I just ordered two more.

Great sports bra that *doesn't* stink. I got pretty tired of my other sports bras stinking after awhile.

I am a 32C and a size small is a snug but great fit. It's a bit tough to take off, however. The wool material doesn't bother me, but none of Icebreaker's wool products give me an itchy feeling. I've used it for long road biking trips, hot yoga and working out at the gym. Always comfortable!

A great buy and will continue to use in the future.

The person I bought this for loved the feel of the wool, but she didn't feel it would be supportive enough for her.

I never thought about wool sports bras until preparing for some long hiking trips in the mountains. I don't know if this is going to win the award to join the trip, but it is much more supportive and comfortable than I anticipated. In the summer heat it is noticeably hot, but I suspect it's supportive enough for short runs as long as it doesn't stretch. Size S fits perfectly - 32b-c ish with a muscular back.

The tags on the inside are scratchy and annoying, though.

As other reviewers pointed out, it is a bit snug at the band, but it is very supportive and comfortable, and after a while, I forgot all about it feeling snug. I am a 36B, and purchased the medium, and it seems to be working fine. Haven't tried it yet in damp or warm weather yet, so I cannot speak for its wicking abilities. However, I do own a sundry of merino wool clothing (tops, bottoms, socks, long underwear, etc.), and it hasn't let me down yet.

Great bra, but you might consider sizing up. I have four Icebreaker tops that are S, and one XS but the bra was too tight for me to breath comfortably in a small. Luckily, Backcountry has great customer service to get the right fit.

Not only is this comfy, but it allows me to lighten up my backpack as this is the one and only bra I need. No stinky means I can wear it over and over in full comfort.

This is a little heavy and the band does not stretch much so it's a little hard to get on over substantial breasts. That said, once it's on, it's very comfortable, gives adequate support for cycling (I'm not a runner so can't speak to that) and it's warm. It doesn't itch and I like the fit. I'm not sure I'd run out to buy another one but I am happy enough to have it and know I will get a lot of use out of it in the three cooler seasons.

I find very supportive. I'm like a 32c more like a 30c and got an XS. Will shrink though if you dry (tells you not to but I just through everything in the dryer). I am a big fan and have it in the pink and black and am waiting for the blue/purple to come back. Two thumbs up

I own a variety of merino products including bras by Icebreaker, I/O Bio and Ibex. While I love all of the above, the GT rush bra is the only one I would wear for high impact activities, such as running or aerobics classes. The XS fits a petite frame quite snugly.

I purchased my first Icebreaker merino item, a running shirt, a few months ago. I loved it, but lamented the discomfort of my regular poly/lycra running bra.
I hate the way synthetic fabrics feel against my skin - especially when it's sweaty. I was so thrilled to find that Icebreaker also makes merino sports bras. Merino is the perfect fabric. It's so soft and comfortable and doesn't absorb moisture like cotton or feel nasty like nylon or poly/lycra. I own three of these and never want to put on a poly/lycra bra again.

I should also add that this bra offers great support - something I didn't care about until I joined the ranks of nursing mothers and realized what my bustier friends were complaining about.
