I bought this to wear under a long sleeve base layer when cycling in cold weather. With the warm winter we've been having in the northeast I've only had one opportunity to wear it and it more than met my expectations. The tank top is form fitting but not compressive so it will work well under other layers. Without sleeves it doesn't interfere with the outer layers. The merino wool feels good against your skin.
This is an excellent addition to my cycling wardrobe which I am sure I will find other uses for. Backcountry provided excellent guidance in selecting the correct size: 5'8" 150 lbs and medium fits perfect.

For those concerned about the possibility of chafing around the soldier area, have no worries. The wool is surprisingly soft for even the underarm area. I'm happy with my purchase.
