I was warm from head to toe thanks to my Icebreaker Wool Glacier Beanie. I hiked Alaska’s arctic tundra for more than two weeks over a blanket of snow. Temperatures were never above freezing. I wore my beanie day and night.

Is this beanie long enough to cover your ears? I'm looking for a hat that would be great for steep climbing on the skins in the backcountry. Needs to be light and very breatheable, but want one that will cover my ears for the cold windy days!

Yes it will cover your ears. But I would highly recommend looking at the Icebreaker Chase beanie- that is our lightest weight beanie and my go to for skinning. The other option would be the Pocket200 hat- it is a double layer for the warmer days.

I have had the best luck with the Icebreaker Cuff Beanie. It is a great weight for staying light and breathable and it is long enough to cover the ears and then some.

unless you were aiming for another product, these are "one size fits all". These hats are stretchy, though that doesn't guarantee how far they'll come down on your ears.
