Pull on your slim-fit Icebreaker Men's Elite SuperfineGT 190 Short-Sleeve Shirt, and go for a trail run up Baldy Peak. This SuperfineGT performance top is 23% more breathable than Icebreaker's Superfine190 shirts thanks to eyelet fabric on the back and sleeves. As a result, this top is ideal for highly aerobic activities. The Elite's merino wool fabric helps regulate your body temperature and pulls sweat away from your skin so you don't overheat on the uphill or feel chilled when you reach the breezy summit. A right seam pocket holds your house key or ID.

Bottom Line: Wear the Icebreaker Elite Shirt, and hit the ground running.

Well, I'm sold!

So, been looking for shirts to wear for both running and backpacking. I'm tired of having to wash 5+ shirts a week because after one run they smell so bad that it's hard to wear them a second day. My UA shirts have a max of two runs in them before they can stand up and walk to the hamper on their own stick alone. So, I bought one of these bad boys, and put it to the test. Went on a 3 mile hike, sunny, 55-60, followed by several hours of yard work. Next day, 5 mile run, and 1 hour at the gym. So today, grabbed the Elite Superfine GT, expecting quite a funk, and nothing! Absolutely no smell! Another 5 mile run today, and still stink free! Just ordered 4 more icebreaker shirts! Well worth the money. Can't wait to take them on my next backpacking trip.

Can you wear these shirts in adventure races where you don't

Can you wear these shirts in adventure races where you don't know what you'll be doing next? For example you could be running or swimming intermittantly.??

As long as ou have the right fit it should be fine. I know guys that wear Hanes t-shirts to bia/triatholons. My buddy is currently training with one of these shirts for a marathon and he says they breath a lot better and dry a lot faster than his Under Armour shirts.

I run with this shirt in SLC, UT in 90+ degree heat. The shirt breathes great, and drys quick. This shirt is worth the money.

Not as Expected

This shirt isn't what I was expecting. First off minus one star for backcountry for not clearly stating this is a "slim-fit" shirt. I realize it says it in the description after re-reading it, but it is pretty subtle. I'd recommend they put it into the size/colour drop down selector. The slim fit XL works great for people with pencil arms (I gave this to my brother who doesn't work out), but the shirt is a bit tight for myself - I'm 5'8" 190lbs, but work out and have more of a football player build than triathlete build.

Minus another star for Icebreaker. GT and their eyelets are more accurately described as little holes in the back of the shirt. The fabric is quite beautiful on the front, but the back looks literally quite cheesy due to the GT holes.
