Leave the house in comfort and style.
Fusing modern and classic detailing into a warm and stylish coat, the Icebreaker Men's Departure Hooded Jacket is an around-town jacket that's more than ready for cold-weather outings. The DWR-treated recycled polyester body and hood help keep you dry in light, passing storms, while heavyweight boiled wool through the sleeves and side panels delivers reliably toasty warmth. Then, Icebreaker used innovative MerinoLOFT insulation in the body to provide you with ample warmth even in wet conditions. Merino flannel fabric in the lining adds a soft, cozy feel, while the multiple pockets—inside and out—provide safe storage for smaller daily essentials.

- Q & A
Look, Icebreaker I get you're trying to promote the Instaboo-travel-lifestyle but this jacket is just ridiculous. As someone who frequently travels light around the globe, I've usually stuck with Icebreaker's more basic items where weight isn't a big issue. I randomly tried this jacket on and just laughed. A $300, non-zipping, near 800g 'travel jacket' like this is simply atrocious. There are literally fistfuls of insulated and insulated-hybrid jackets that weigh less than half of this jacket, and do a better job in every aspect. I would never recommend this jacket. Icebreaker, stick to what you are good at.
