A very worthy investment! !

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I've had this warm and cozy sweater for almost 2 years and I absolutely love it. It's a great top to wear as a mid layer when it gets very cold and can be worn on it's on for mild conditions. I've worn it on many conditions and have been very comfortable. Best of all, I've worn so many times without washing it and I don't stink or at least the sweater doesn't smell at all. I've washed it a few times now and it still looks the same. It's worth every penny (I paid full price).

Beautiful piece!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm gonna keep it short and sweet, but this sweatshirt is definitely worth the money. Very high quality material and construction.

I purchased the Space Dye colorway and the fabric is beautiful! The material is smoother and heavier than Icebreaker base layers. I love it.

I'm 6 feet tall, 150 lbs, slim, with long torso and arms. I went with size large and it fits perfectly. The fit is slim. The body is just long enough to cover my belt buckle and the arms are plenty long without bunching. A medium would have been too small and XL would have been too baggy for my stature.

I just put it on for the first time, but I already love this piece! And I am super picky.

Great Quality

It has become a tradition in our household to get one another woolens of some sort throughout the year for both casual and technical wear. And after having tried and tested many brands Icebreaker has become a fast favorite for its fit, feel and overall quality. Bought this particular sweater (in a small) for my husband this year and he loves it! Icebreaker tends to be ideal for his slender frame (5'9" 145lbs). Of all the Icebreaker pieces worn in our house, this is the first time any of us has bought a more casual-use piece. It's lovely and I'm sure versatile enough to wear for layering, but that's not really its purpose. Other Icebreaker items would be better put to that use. This sweater is a high-quality, comfortable stand-alone.

Cool sweater

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Bought the Pewter Space Dye in XXL, which looks cool. The feel of the fabric is a bit different than a bodyfit 260, it is more like a regular cotton sweater. It is not very big in XXL, I wish the arms had been a litte longer. First impressions were that this is a sweater that is going to last for a long time, and I am going to like it.

Wanted to Like it, but...

Really wanted to like this and work with it, but actually didn't feel like a shirt worth the cost/expected performance. I wonder if much of the cost is all the work in good production/merino locater/etc, which is all great, but maybe just didn't come through on this one shirt specifically. I do plan to try out other Icebreaker products still! It actually did feel a little itchy putting it on as well so not sure on the smooth and soft to the touch aspect! Note: I am taller and slender (6'3, 190lbs) and based off of other reviews, ordered an XL, but this was actually a bit baggy on my frame. Depending on how you like the fit and how you use it, just may want to note this.

I'm a tall, slender built guy with long arms. (6'4") Usually a size large fits the best, but not all long sleeve shirts have long enough arms for me. I need 35-36" sleeves. Does this Ice Breaker sweater have long enough arms for me in size large?
