I read all the backcountry.com reviews before buying this top, and I think they nailed it. It's very comfortable and warm; I've been wearing it skiing in New York. There are colder parts of the country, but our nighttime temps. have been 0-20 degrees plus wind. And I run cold. I love the thumb loops because they keep the sleeves over my wrists. I think they do run small like other ladies have written. I got a small and I'm 5'7", 130 pounds. It's a little loose which allows me to put another layer comfortably underneath.
Love this top!

It's a good start for a layering system that will take you down to -20°. The rest will depend on what other layers you wear.

The 260 weight is the heaviest long underwear Icebreaker makes, so it's a good base layer to start with.
It's the best!

I wear this top for my daily bike commute to work and it is the best at keeping me both warm and dry and doesn't get smelly. This is actually the second one I've had, and I only got rid of the first one because I tore it up in a bike crash. Highly recommend!
Absolutely lovely!

Great fit - BodyFit is snug but not choke-ingly so. I'm 5.8', 135 lbs and Small fits wonderfully. It's amazing how flattering the Icebreaker sports-line looks!
Bought as a gift- it's a hit!

I bought this for my sister, and she loves it! She said the fit is phenomenal and flattering, and very true to size. She has worn it constantly since Christmas, and raves about it. The Merino Wool is insanely soft, and feels so good against the skin. She likes it so much, I might just buy one for myself!
Soft, cozy, flattering fit - WIN!

This might be my new favorite layering piece. I can wear it with a lightweight long underwear top underneath for outdoor sports in chilly weather, or a t-shirt for around town. It is fitted but forgivingly so... I am a busty size 8/10 and the Medium gives me room enough in the chest (very stretchy fabric helps!) without being baggy around the waist. The sleeves are plenty long, perfect for me, and I love the thumb loops. I haven't tried washing it yet, but I'm hopeful it will live up to the Icebreaker reputation of durability. I got it on sale - not sure I'd pay full price for it, but at 40% off you can't go wrong!
Another Winner!

I love this top! Of course I love all the Icebreaker pieces I own. This is a nice mid-weight top. It is fitted, which I like, and flattering. I got the teal and it's a very nice color. Great for daily use or for cold weather exercise. It layers well and is soft and comfortable. Fits true to size. Nothing bad to say about this shirt! In fact, the price was so good I bought two!
Versatile and flattering top

OK, I'm hooked on Icebreaker! The fact that this is a midweight top makes it SO versatile. You can layer it on colder days or wear it alone on mild ones. I love the quality and functionality of Icebreaker products and this is no exception. Runs tts, while still allowing for something underneath if you want and the fit is flattering. All my icebreaker pieces (don't tell my husband how many) have washed up well....without shrinkage and don't seem to pill. Great stuff!!
Great for layering

My 1st ever Icebreaker purchase several years ago and still one of my favorites. I now own it in 4 different colors, the cranberry and icicle I bought this year and love them. Perfect for hiking, walking, and snowshoeing because you can zip it up to warm up or keep it unzipped to cool off once after you've been exercising for a while. I wear mine over an icebreaker cam and retreat tank on warmer days and over my long sleeve nature top on colder days. I bought an xs, which is what i usually wear in icebreaker tops. Great purchase that you'll love for years!
Phenomenal, and worth the cash.

I'm new to the whole frigid winter experience and subsequently did a lot of research prior to investing the necessary amount of cash into wool products...initially I tried out 3 different brands, but it took very little to become addicted, and ultimately I've become an Icebreaker girl. The wool is good quality, doesn't itch, doesn't hold odor, and the clothing just generally looks nice.
I've now own two of these tops, and they're amazing! I pretty much live in them. They wool is thin that's perfect for layering; there's even got room to wear another light shirt underneath for when I have to spend a lengthy period of time inside a warm building. And the stitched in thumb holes are a must!
They run just about true to size, perhaps a hair large, but it allows a little room for those with more of an hourglass figure.

This is the 2nd IceBreaker top I've purchased from Backcountry and I absolutely love it. It runs a little large so order a size smaller than normal. I normally wear a medium and it was too large. The small fits perfect (I'm 5'7 130lbs). The Java color is a deep purplish rich dark brown color - very unique.
Another Excellent Piece of Tech Wear from Icebreaker

I always feel a bit of guilt for how much I spend on Icebreaker ... but never so much that I've ever returned any piece I've ordered. And I think that says a lot about the quality of the brand.
This fits like "bodyfit" should - right next to the skin as a bottom-layer. It's not so tight that you can't get comfortably wear your Icebreaker tank top underneath it, though.
The only thing I wasn't sure about was the neck, which seems excessively long on this piece. It seemed strange while I was trying it on out of the box, but I've worn it twice now and never noticed it during those days.

I have this Icebreaker BodyFit260 Tech Top in 2 color-ways & wear them all winter long! I am slowly switching all of my long underwear to Merino Wool because of the NON B.O. factor--these shirts just never stink! I bought Smalls in this shirt & think they run a little big: if I re-order I'd get XS's. The shirts wash easily, I dry them flat & there has been no shrinkage or stretching.
