Shred the slopes in cozy comfort.

Those powder-capped peaks are calling your name. Slide on the Icebreaker Men's BodyFit 260 Apex Crew and get to work. This baselayer uses non-itchy merino wool to regulate your body temperature so you're neither too warm nor too cold, and it stays fresh after multiple days at the resort. Offset shoulder seams provide the utmost comfort with a backpack on. Thumbholes keep the sleeves in place when you layer over this crew, and the drop-tail hem covers your backside when you limber up for an intense ride. The crew neck makes it easy to layer over this top.

Once underway setting a nice pace splitboard touring I find the icebreaker 260 weight tops are the perfect warmth when it's not too cold (>-10C, no wind).

Thumbs Up for Thumb Holes

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Obviously marino wool has tons of benefits that make it stand out from your standard synthetic baselayer materials, but to keep things short and sweet I'll just write my favorite one.

This is for real: marino wool has naturally occurring antimicrobial properties which in English translates to odor fighting goodness. I wear this layer every day, no matter the weather. There's no need to be grossed out by this, but it NEVER gets smelly and I therefore only wash it like, every once in awhile. I have a hunch thats also good for the longevity of the top.

And my other favorite feature, which might distinguish this layer from others are the thumb holes. Its a super simple concept, which just makes it that much better. For one its comfy, two - it doesn't allow snow up your sleeve as easily if you have a good tumble, and lastly it doesn't scrunch up on you when pulling on another layer over it.

And chicks dig thumb holes. For real.
