Description

Whether you run for two hours, climb all day, or camp all weekend, you'll be comfortable in the merino wool Atlas shirt.

Pull on the slim-fit Icebreaker Women's BodyFit150 Atlas Long-Sleeve T-Shirt to go for a hike or trail run, or for a day at the climbing crag. This crewneck merino wool shirt insulates like a Thermos that keeps your coffee hot—you'll stay warm on cool days. Plus, the Atlas is super breathable, so you won't overheat as you exert. Non-itchy merino wool doesn't hold onto odor in the same way your synthetic top does, so you can go to the brewpub with friends after you hike or climb and not offend anyone. Icebreaker gave this top raglan sleeves and flatlock seams so it won't chafe or rub under a backpack or hip-belt.

I've had this shirt for less than a year and all of a sudden I noticed a hole. I usually sew small holes I find in my clothes, however upon a second inspection I noticed a few more holes, on the same sleeve. Then even more holes on the other sleeve. Big holes, not just small snags. The quality of this shirt is well below what I expected, especially when I bought it at full retail. This shirt is not even worth the sale price..

My husband and I are planning to climb Kilimanjaro this summer and I wanted something warm and attractive to wear as a base layer when we are there. The blue (turquoise) color is bright and great on my skin coloring and fits perfectly. I am very happy with the top.

Also, I live in a cold climate in Alberta Canada so this will be absolutely great for outdoor running in the fall and winter....especially as it doesn't stink!

I am trying to figure out the different...

I am trying to figure out the different blue colors for icebreaker shirts. I have seen icicle but how does that compare to whirlpool and belize?

I would call the icicle a turquoise, beautiful, bright cool color.

I've got several Ice breaker tops, the 150 weight is perfect for hot and humid conditions and going in and out of Air-conditioning and back into the elements (the highest temp I've worn Icebreaker in was around 42c and that was with a 150 long sleeve top as I was in the middle east). Also great for traveling these tops can be worn alone or under T-shirts and the retreat tops for extra warmth when it cools down or jerseys extra when the 200 weight is a little too much warmth. The icebreaker long sleeve gear is slightly longer in the arm length than I found my I/O Bio contact long sleeve crib top to be. I prefer the extra length, its not excessive but enough if your biking and layering with longer tops.
I don't even bother with cotton anymore, it weighs more in your pack and stinks if your sweeting, if you haven't tried Marino or thought it was just for winter warmth give it a go!

I continue to be amazed at the quality products that Icebreaker delivers. The Atlas is no exception. I'm a typical sz6 and the Medium still fits your form in a flattering way, without cutting off your circulation. Great for running and mountain biking...and if you are meeting friends afterwards for a beer - you dont have to worry about the stinkies.

I've never had a wool base layer before, and this shirt is really non-itchy like they claim. Nice and thin for layering, but delivers more warmth than other shirts. I've not bothered to change after hiking in the backcountry on my lunch break, and I looked fine for work and didn't stink. Hooray!
