Bodyfit Leggings - Women's

The Icebreaker Women's Leggings offer incredible warmth and versatility because of their unique fabric—they're made from 100% pure New Zealand Merino, the best natural fiber for temperature regulation in the world. Merino has some incredible advantages over synthetic fabrics: it keeps its heat-retaining properties when wet, prevents body odor build-up better than any chemical treatment, offers expedition-weight warmth at half the bulk, and rivals many synthetics in breathability. Icebreaker Leggings are cut in a "not so tight- tight," so you can wear them in your yoga class, out for a run, under your ski pants, or by the fire in the lodge. Make no mistake, Merino is not the wool you know-while it has wool's incredible heat-retaining qualities and breathability, it lacks that trademark scratchiness and discomfort.

Bottom Line: Merino simply knows, regardless of wet or dry, when you are cold it will keep you warm, and when you are hot it is super breathable, similar to your own keratin-based skin.

initially, loved the fit/weight of these pants. but after only 3 wearings (2 washes, hand wash cycle) they are pilling SIGNIFICANTLY. pretty ridiculous for a brand like Icebreaker.

cold wife is fianlly happy

My wife is always cold. Especially riding lifts in December. I finally found her something she can wear and now's she's able to ski all day without excessive hot cocoa/schnapps breaks. She even wore them on a recent hut 3 day trip and never took them off. No overheating, no stink and plenty warm. Thanks Backcountry for letting us stay on the hill all day and keep the apres for apres.

Ice Breaker Leggings

By:

I really like these and hope they hold up well. They are very light weight and comfortable. I have only worn them as outerwear, but even in sub-freezing temps they have kept me warm (except for one extremely windy day, sub-zero with the wind chill). If they stand up to repeated laundering, they get a 5.

Very Nice!

I bought these to wear under ski pants because I was tired of the polypropylene. They were nice and warm as well as comfortable. I like the fact that they are machine washable (up to 5% shrinkage-according to the pants) or dry clean. I felt they could be worn as pants alone. They are great!

Icebreaker wool long underwear- Bodyfit 260 leggings

By:
March 1, 2006

Best ever, and I have tried many! I wear the Bodyfit leggings as outerwear to yoga and hiking, I wear them as pjs, and as regular daily long underwear. Just recently I wore them under my ski clothes and they were perfect. I have already purchased two sets and plan to purchase more. My friend ordered two pairs of the Bodyfit leggings based on my recommendation and she loves them also.

IceBreakers Bodyfit Leggings

By:
February 9, 2007

These are super warm and surprisingly not itchy at all. I was glad I went with the medium weight instead of the light weight leggings. We just went skiing in -15 degree weather and my legs weren't cold at all. I would 100 % recommend these.

Icebreaker Bodyfit Leggings

I love these leggings. I wear them as an under layer when I snowboard, and I also wear them running in the winter. They breathe really well, but also retain heat when needed. They aren't itchy at all, and you don't have to wash them too often because they don't hold odor. They are worth the money!
