Description

Baselayer technology makes for one great boxer.

Utilizing the same design technology employed for its high-performance baselayers, Icebreaker infused the Men's BodyFit 150-Ultralite Anatomica Boxer with all the same comfort and functionality. The super-soft jersey knit merino wool is very lightweight, breathable, and its anti-microbial properties fight odors―great if you're working up a sweat or on a backpacking trip where you need your undies to last for the long haul. And for less adventurous days, these same features make for all-day comfort. A little bit of Lycra adds stretch for a contoured fit, the satin jacquard waistband keeps things secure, flatlock stitching prevents chafing and a contoured pouch with fly makes things easy when nature calls. After being spoiled with this level of high-performance comfort and easy functionality, you'll have a hard time settling for anything less.

  • Ultralite merino wool jersey with a hint of Lycra stretch
  • Boxer brief cut
  • Contoured pouch with fly
  • Satin jacquard waistband
  • Flatlock stitching

The only underwear you need

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 1"
    Weight: 178 lbs
    Size Purchased: Medium

I have been using this product for about 5 years and have gone thru one change. It is simply amazing. Nothing more nothing less. My wife does not want me to share the 'benefit' of this underwear with people...but I think you need to know - while traveling - there is nothing like that. You can easily wear it 3 to 4 days in a row with hanging it overnight to air out... (I know - most people say -WHAT? GROSS!... but believe me it is not. Most people would never share or admit to this but if you try it - you will know it. I traveled thru Europe for 18 days with 6 pairs and no wash... I only use Icebreaker shirts, t-shirts, and shorts. I travel with a single EU friendly carry on for those 18 days. Very efficient and compact.

Good until they are not

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 9"
    Weight: 165 lbs
    Size Purchased: Small

So these have a great fit to them and don't stretch like a lot of underwear do. The cut is athletic and allow for freedom of movement without a baggy or an encumbering feeling. The material is soft, but I would not say it is soft like a silk or many micro fleece products out there. These wick away very nicely and do a good job of breathing. Unfortunately on one of the many pairs I own after only 6 months I already have a hole in the backside of a pair so I can not give them much higher than 3 stars due to a lack of longevity. I think it is not too reasonable to expect at least 1 year out of a pair of underwear, especially when I rotate between say 20 different ones. Of course that is just my experience and maybe I received one with defective qualities. I have an actual waist of 33 inches and these fit me in the size small perfectly.

Fantastic Under Trousers!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

So soft and comfy for your nether regions. Love the material. Fit is a little small but not too terribly so. Waist size 36 and i got the large, they fit although a little tight. Still a premium boxer. A little shorter that some, closer to a brief than a boxer brief but not so much that i would complain. Great colors too, and the color doesn't fade in the wash. Will def buy more! Well worth the price.

Fit change

I've had a few pairs of these before, all fantastic. They have recently redone the fit and it seems to be more wedgie causing.

They're....grrrrrrrrreat!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

As Tony the Tiger would say, if he wore merino wool boxers. I like these a lot - fit, style. Yep they're shorter like the pic shows. 33-34 waist, medium fits nicely.

I wouldn't wear these on longer hiking trips as I like longer, tighter boxer briefs to prevent inner thigh chafe, but for everyday use these are comfy. These do fit snug enough, I hate baggy boxer briefs.

Hmm

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I absolutely love icebreaker. I'll start with that. The material is amazing, and feels great.
Smell, well.. not there.
Fit.. is absolutely terrible to me.
I was looking for a boxer brief.. these are so short in the leg they might as well be briefs. They do not maintain shape too well over a period of one day, let alone 4+ days.
I really wanted to love these, but can't say i do. Just bought Stoic boxer briefs and waiting on them to try. W

I think backcountry.com has these categorized wrong. They are much more of a trunk brief than a boxer brief.
