I bought this for my husband and he loves it. He puts on a merino wool base layer every morning because it makes him feel warm. He likes the 150 crew most since they are simply comfortable.

I purchased two of these shirts with high expectations. Perhaps my expectations were too high. They are great shirts and the perfect weight. However, they have a tendency to get little holes in them. I contacted Icebreakers and they indicated that small holes can be common. On a $70 shirt I would prefer if small holes were not common. If you can handle small holes appearing randomly and without abuse...they are great. If not you may want to go with a heavier weight that will hold up a little better.

My wife has noticed VERY tiny holes. I wear the heck out of the two I have as my first layer during winter. This is wool you "extreme" gear weasels. and it is very thin, this will happen at some point. Pull your skirt up nancy and deal with it. I would rather wear natural material next to my skin, even if it has tiny imperfections.

I have several of these, and I've never had issues with spontaneous holes. Are you sure you don't have a moth problem?

good shirt and takes multiple days of skiing for it to start smelling and has become my baselayer of choose since it insulates fairly well when wet.. it has all the attributes you would expect from a merino wool shirt. sizing is on point for a tighter fitting shirt. would love a looser version of this shirt so I could were it around more casually
