The lightweight Icebreaker Bandana isn't the sort of thing you'd want to blow your nose in, this merino wool bandana is soft against your skin, naturally wicks moisture, and doesn't hold smells so you could blow your nose without offending yourself, after wearing it on your head for a week on the John Muir Trail.

Bottom Line: A fancy merino wool bandana.

Icebreaker bandana

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to do chemo which resulted in me sporting the fuzzy head look and wearing a wig, scarves or bandana's. I'd gotten fed up with the wig! Too hot and sweaty on my head; wet head. I've worn bandanas, but with the humidity this summer even the 100% cotton left me with a wet head. I ran into this at 45 degrees in Stillwater, MN and thought; expensive, but tried it on the sales associates recommendation. It is one of the best things I've ever bought! My head is cool even in the unairconditioned truck at 90 degrees. Warm in the cold air-conditioned office and comfortable at home with no air conditioning. I forget to take it off. It doesn't slip or slide and looks great.
Thanks for a great product!

Does this awesome bandana come in purple? I can tell from some

Does this awesome bandana come in purple? I can tell from some of the Gear Gurus that only the hardest of the hard core backpackers rock the purple bandana!

I wear this under my bike helmet year-round. hiking and backpacking with this is pure joy. And it's large too, a little bigger than cotton bandanas and a little stretchy too. bonus. can get really snug, and still pull it down over your ear tips on a cold bike ride etc. Really soft too, even for merino, and i have a lot of merino.

I just bought mine while spending a week at Zion National Park. It is perfect for the days when the sun is shining but the air is cold or it is colder than you expected and you are searching your pack for something warm or you bike to a lovely spot, take a break and get chilled from your wet clothes. It is always warm, soft and big enough to be a small blanket.

It is great for hot or cold weather as it can take a lot of sweat and warm your head. Worth it.
