All-natural merino wool fleece meets water-resistant nanotechnology to protect you in drizzly weather.
Water-resistant nanotechnology combined with soft, merino wool fleece makes for a great outer layer during your hikes where you might meet drizzly weather. The Icebreaker Women's Arctic Full-Zip Hooded Jacket, part of Icebreaker's Realfleece Nano collection, features innovative nanotechnology where tiny particles create a surface that repels moisture and makes the merino wool fleece water resistant. The all-natural merino wool fleece breathes better than its synthetic counterpart while keeping you warm. A shaped hood provides snug, stay-put coverage for your head and ears while shaped cuffs provide more hand coverage. You can warm your hands and securely carry essentials in two zippered hand pockets. A small zippered chest pocket with a media cord loop holds your MP3 player. Gussets, stretchy side and back panels, and raglan sleeves allow you to move comfortably.

Warm- sometime too warm
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I picked this hood up to use while skiing but I usually run fairly warm, to the point that I only use it on very cold days- mainly while ski touring.
The bonus of this jacket is that on a cold day, you can wear this instead of a puffy while hiking. It breathes much better and the waterproofing keeps you dry in most situations.
It's also a good run around jacket- especially in the autumn.
