    Great top, but weird pattern

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

This preforms great as a base layer! It is warm, and because its wool, it doesnt stink at the end of a long hot ski day! My only complaint is the pattern, I got the stripes and for some reason it makes my torso look tiny, and my shoulders look huge! A larger size might have been a good option, but the small I got feel like a good fit. A great top, but I would never wear it anywhere other than to ski in!

    too scratchy

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: s

I own other Ibex items that I love, but this one felt scratchy and uncomfortable. I usually don't have an issue with fit but the small was unflatteringly long .

    Perfect layering top!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

This has been a great top for me, so I just ordered another the same color. I like the striped pattern as it stays clean and neat and looks great with many solid pieces. I've kayaked in this top for years and find it the perfect layer over sleeveless on a chilly morning with my wind jacket. Being thin makes it a great layer, but also makes it tend to tear more easily if you snag it on something. I am 5'8" and thin with wide shoulders and long arms - weighing 145 lbs. The L is a tad snug (but only a tad small - pretty close to a regular L and very stretchy), but still comfortable, and the XL is a bit long for my sweats and kayaking capris, but otherwise great in the arms and body.

    Dry as kindling

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

The word moisture isn't a terrible word, until it's used in reference to perspiration. Then the connotations are of sweaty palms, sticky feet, and a less than floral smell. This doesn't even cover that locker-room smell when you leave your hiking clothes rolled up for a day too long after trip.

There is a way to alleviate all of the negativity of the word. Wear wool. Personally, I've been a proponent of wool base layers for years. The Ibex Woolies zip neck tee is no exception. It's lightweight, fitted and remains stink-free, for days. Even better, wool is hydrophilic so it holds moisture away from your skin -- this allows it to evaporate keeping you dry and 'moist-less.'

Of note, this is a very lightweight baselayer. It's perfect for late summer hiking and spring skiing, but if you're looking for a layer for the bitter weeks of winter, you'll want to look at one of Ibex's heavier layers such as the 200 crewneck.

Ibex Woolies 150 Zip T Strip Top

Does anyone know if there is some kind of a support group for those of us who cannot stop buying and wearing Ibex Woolies? I discovered the Ibex Woolies 150 Zip T during the winter of 2013 and have worn no other T-necks since. It is cold much of the year where I live and I switch back and forth from the Woolies 150 Zip T to the Woolies 220 Zip T. The flat seams are wonderful, there are no tags, the fabric is perfect for layering, the fit is trim, but still very comfortable. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 135 pounds. I am able to wear the Woolies in a size medium or a large. If I am planning on wearing a lot of layers, I will usually wear a size medium. If the Woolies is going to be my sole layer, the large will work well. It is nice to have a little extra length in the sleeves. The Ibex Woolies really is my favorite T-neck top and I wear one everyday!
