These were so soft, and light and very warm. I thought from how thin they were that'd I wouldn't be very warm, but I was. They were a fantastic base layer. No complaints :)

Ibex Woolies bottoms

By:

Likes: fabric, fit (I'm 5'7, 125 lb, size small perfect)I have Ibex top and love the fabric, and the bottoms are the same fabric.
Dislikes: Elastic at waist too tight to be comfortable
If it hadn't been for the waist I would rate it a 5-star.

S or XS? I have Ibex tops (indie, hooded indie) in XS, and they fit comfortably, not skintight, with plenty of room to spare. Looking at their sizing chart, it seems the XS bottoms will be too small--my waist is def. a 26, not a 24/25. However, all of my baselayer bottoms are Patagonia Capilenes in XS, and they fit fine; however, they tend to ride low, and the Woolies look like they ride high... I'm guessing I should stick with an XS, but I'm worried that the higher waist will feel binding. Also, my experience with wool is that its shape-retention isn't as great as some synthetics, they stretch out after a day or two of wear, is this the case here? I don't want to get stuck with saggy johnnies if I order a small.

"Definitely go with the XS", says my XS Ibex friend. And, FYI they do ride a little high on the waist, which does reduce cold drafts on the back. Everything Ibex I have owned, has had great shape-retention. I always wash in cold and lay out on a drying rack. Any pure wool item will stretch out to some degree as you wear it, but overall I've had good luck with this brand.

Woolies Underwear

The wool underlayer does its job. They keep me warm and comfortable. As I moved from a warm climate area, they are a lifesaver. The only comment I have is that the legs are too long even in petite size, especially if you are a 5' petite. I even bought a pair for a friend.

Woolies

I so wanted these to work for me. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of comfortable wool long underwear for ages! Everything was wonderful about these ones aside from the waist band. I'm 5'5, 120bls with a fairly narrow waist, but the elastic was much too tight for my liking. That being said, I'm fussy about those types of things. They are very high-waisted and sat at my true waist, just a little too tight. Otherwise the fit was great- not too tight on the legs, but fitted enough to layer easily.

i am size 0-2 and i got XS. perfect fitting. perfect length. they also made some room for your butt so it doesn't super stretch around that area either. it's also super light and it keeps you dry.

and yes. it feels great against your skin.

bad thing is.. it's not that warm. but i guess it's better than going out naked running.. (:

i definitely recommend it!

I haven't been disappointed by Ibex yet! These are great for cold days, perfect for keeping you dry on warmer days, & incredibly comfortable. There is no itchy feeling from the material and it feels great against your skin. I'm typically a size 6 in pants and bought a medium, but probably could have gone with a small.
