In the words of my grand-daughter, comfy cozy. I own every style of IBEX pants and these like the others are excellent. I wash and hang mine to dry. I bought a pair for my daughter and her husband accidentally threw them in the dryer and they were no worse for the wear.
The Ash Grey Heather is an interesting color. Like regular grey sweat pants. :-)
I wear them for all kinds of activities. Walking the dog, yoga, and just for everyday pants. IBEX makes a great product. If you are a merino wool convert like I am, I think you will like any number of their products.

These are extremely comfortable and forgiving. They stretch when you need them to, and provide breathable warmth. While traveling in Alaska, I wore them with long underwear once, another time with long underwear and a pair of Craft athletic pants underneath, and a third time with another pair of wool pants underneath. The elastic around the waist (which is a little below my natural waist to begin with) can be folded down for a lower on the hip profile. Love them!
Pretty nice but not 5 stars
These are about the same weight as a light pair of sweat pants and very cozy. Nice thick fabric. My only complaint is that the waist is quite low and way too big for me. If the waist was just a little higher you could get away with it being loose but not with something so low-cut -they fall down! I do have an athletic/muscular build and a smallish waist in relation to my hips/thighs but even so I would say these are disproportionally bigger than they need to be in the waist. I don't know if it is true in all the sizes but in my size (large) it was a problem. I was really sorry to return them because I loved the fabric.
Too big in waist
I was really disappointed that these didn't fit because I love the material -thick and warm. But the waist was just too large relative to the hip/thigh. I don't think going down a size would work either since then they would be tight in the thigh/butt.
ooh la la
I grabbed the last pair of XS in bittersweet, and I'm feeling triumphant. The material is thick and luxurious. The bittersweet color is gorgeous, kind of brownish, olive-grey depending on the light (it's nice!). Goes well with everything; I even wear with a sweater and low-profile shoes with these to work.
The waistband sits higher than I normally like (about an inch below navel), but considering these are meant for active wear, the pants stay put. The only "complaint" I may have is that I feel the inseam's a tad too short. I'm 5'4"/112lbs with 30" inseam. These are probably 29" inseam in XS. So if you're lanky, you'll find these too short. But, truthfully, it's nice to wear pants that actually aren't made with 35" inseams; they are a perfect length for someone my height to wear while hiking or walking in the rain as they don't drag on the ground.
I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of these in the coming months/years. They're pricey but worth every penny!!
