Description

Light-to-moderate merino support.

Synthetic sport bras can feel cold and clammy once you start to sweat on long hikes and rigorous climbs. Not the Ibex Balance Sport Bra, though. This bra uses soft merino wool to naturally regulate your body temperature whether you're in the great outdoors or in yoga class.
  • Provides light-to-medium support for A-C cups (medium support for A sizes and low-impact support for C sizes)
  • Merino wool naturally deals with odor so you don't have to avoid the juice bar on the way home
  • Double-layer construction, racerback design, and body mapping for support and comfort

I really like this bra. I have tried other wool sports bras (I'm a fan of wool) and have not been impressed with other wool bras - I got lots of chafing, too much support, or too little support. With the Ibex Balance Bra, I haven't gotten any chafing and the support seems great for cycling and pretty good for running. I bought a medium, based on previous reviews to size up. I'm a 34 A and it seems like the medium works. What I like about this bra, is that it dries quickly and doesn't smell so that after a workout I don't have to change out of it quickly. I got the color shell which works well under clothing since you can't see it. The best part about this bra is that I don't feel it around my chest.

My stash of I/O Bio Merino bras have finally worn out so I've been looking for replacements from Ibex or Icebreaker. If you are looking for a seamless and comfortable merino bra, I think Ibex did a really awesome job with this one. If I didn't have to buy a size too small I would barely remember I was wearing it, even under heavy pack loads. I just don't understand why they don't make an XL. I'm willing to sacrifice the fit a little and make do with a L because I think the merino is 100% better than synthetic, especially if your core gets cold really easily. Definitely a better choice for any overnight camping, yurt, or hut trips, and great for extended travel when you can't wash your clothes too often. High fives to merino for it's travel awesomeness! I would give it 5 stars if they had a full size range available!

I got this for my special lady friend because cotton isn't really getting the job done. Her reports are a bit mixed (sweat is still wet, and still makes her cold) but not nearly as much so as cotton did. So, better, but not perfect.

Wow, this does run small. I'm a 34C with narrow shoulders and I find the medium very snug. I usually wear size small in clothing so I thought I was erring on the side of caution by ordering the medium. It turns out I probably should have chosen the large. Other than the peek of pregnancy, I've never worn anything in a size large. Although it's pretty comfortable in the circumference, the straps chafe my neck a little and for the first time in my narrow shouldered life I wish this had a slightly wider neck opening. I also feel like it's not quite long enough and I keep having to tug it down. The fabric is wonderful, but the sizing is off. The Icebreaker sports bra (in medium) gives me the perfect fit. I really liked the style of this bra and hoped I would love it as much as the Icebreakers, but sadly, I don't.

Soft comfy material, noted the band under the breast was very low profile and super comfy which is unusual, but otherwise not a good fit for me unfortunately, or probably any woman with broad shoulders (climber ...). Otherwise it would have been great.

size up !! I normally wear a small or 34 a. I find size medium has a better fit.
This is the best and most comfortable merino sports bra for me because it is totally seemless. Just watch for initial color bleeding on the darker colors .
