Nice fit - Flattering not FLAT-HER-ing

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: M

I really like this bra. It is comfortable and fits well. It is a soft bra, so I have to use caution if I wear it at work. I am a 36-AA in most bras. I am going to buy another one in a different color.

    Lightweight and comfortable.

I love merino wool under garments - so very much, mostly because they're so magical! Merino wool is awesome - quick-drying, moisture-wicking, anti-odor and just all around comfortable!

I currently own the Balance (sporty) bra in a medium and it's a shade loose, but it's still incredibly comfortable and great for non-bouncing activities (e.g. hiking, yoga, skiing, climbing, life, etc). However, I wanted more of a daily cruiser kind of bra, so I picked up the Balance Light because why not. I sized down from a medium to a small, mostly based on my experience with the sporty-er Balance. Initially, when I took the Balance Light out of the bag, it looked absolutely child sized. But, I pulled it on and it was deceivingly comfortable! I'm a 34 B, but my boob weight is more in the lower portion of my chest and the small fit perfectly for me and my gals. I can see what people are talking about with the straps being a bit stiff, but from my experience with the other Ibex bra, these totally liven right up. The straps are adjustable, and can be worn as your typical spaghetti strap bra or crossback.

The material is definitely thinner than the Balance sports bra, and the Sand color is a shade transparent, so it's not something I would recommend wearing on its lonesome. But it's still thick-enough that low-beams aren't super noticeable. Also the sand is like a proper nude-ish color, less yellow looking than the picture is.

Admittedly, I was waffling between the Icebreaker Siren and the Balance Light, mostly because I have the Rush Sports Bra by Icebreaker and it's so friggin' awesome! But, I love Ibex as they're a Vermont company, and as a former Vermonter, I like supporting VT-based anything. And I'm glad I went with the Ibex Balance Light - way comfortable, lightweight, and a new go-to for daily wear.

    Supportive wool bra

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium

I wear a size 32D bra (band size: 29" cup: 33"). I have to have the straps fully extended to avoid ride up when the straps are in the crossback form. While the material is thinner than most bras (no padding) it can effectively hide nipples, and support smaller breasts, enough as it would in a wired unlined bra.
I wanted a bra to wear casually that could withstand getting soaked with sweat or absorbing body odor and that was versatile enough for many different styles; this seems it will do the job with it's straps and v neck.
The only real faults I can find are that I would've liked a little more padding (maybe a little more support with this), and slightly thicker straps. The straps are just elastic and can dig into the shoulders after a few hours.
The options for wool bras are few, and while not perfect, this seems to be one of the best available so I will be keeping it. Hopefully future versions will improve upon the straps.

NOTE: don't go by the size chart for chest measurements. According to that I would wear a XS. I got a small previously for the non vneck style and my breasts were popping out the sides. Especially for this style, you don't want a boob bump under tight shirts so I would either be prepared to try/return multiple sizes as I did, or read reviews for fit examples!

    BEST BRA, weird sizing though

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium

Super comfy and even more supportive than I was expecting. The sizing is indeed weird though. I typically wear a small in sports bras and bathing suits but I got a medium in this one and its perfect (about a 32B).

    Sweaty sweater puppies, be gone!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

This bra is the answer to my atheist prayers. Finally, the perfect amount of support (t approaching zero), the minimalest of coverage (low beams on), and the most sweat-free fabric my t's have ever met (36C = Large [and in charge]). The girls are in woolen heaven. Bless you, Ibex. We're not worthy.

    "Sheer"ly-unexpected

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small

The Merino wool in this is comfortable, and definitely dries quickly. I used this bra snowboarding and throughout the day.
The elasticity holds up well so far and I cannot feel it once it's on.

This bralette is a little small. I am in between an A and B cup, and have lost weight, so I went with a small. It looks like it could be for a small child. however once on it does NOT create an extra line on my chest and does not feel tight to wear.
My next one will be a M for sure.

I also couldn't tell from the photo, but it is a little see through. I don't like or dis-like this as it doesn't really matter under my snowboarding gear. However it isn't necessarily the bralette that I will be shedding my tank while wearing during my Bikram Yoga class!

    Enjoy!

    Needs some improvement

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The bra itself is great, I love the fit and the soft feel of the merino wool. The best part of the merino wool is the days you can go without having any smell whatsoever. My only complaint as mentioned in other reviews, are the straps. They aren't very comfortable. They are made with tradition bra strap material. Its fairly stiff and can dig in. I don't think I would buy this again unless they change the strap construction.

Comfortable, but not a fan of the straps

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The material is very comfortable, I love it! The only thing I don't like is the clasps for the straps on the back of the band. It is a nice feature to be able to adjust the straps to a crossback, but I have found that after some wear the strap latches will fall out of the fabric, and the material is so lightweight that it won't do a good job of staying in place on it's own at all.

    Awesome bra for layering

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: M

This bra is so soft and comfy. But it is sheer--I wonder why ibex doesn't make it a little more substantial? That would be nice. And it definitely is sized small because I usually wear an XS and I ordered it in M because of all the warnings in the reviews. You won't be disappointed--this bra is amazing! I usually wear a 34 B and I ordered this in a Medium.

    Highly Recommend

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I love this bra, and own multiple colors. It is perfect for hiking and light activities, such as climbing, and yoga. It breathes well and is a must if you are travelling a lot. It is thin so doesn't offer a ton of discretion, but I still find it to be a good enough stretch that I consider it medium supportive. I wear a M and am a 36 B-C

    well constructed, great fit

I was unsure about buying a wool bra since even the softest wool usually irritates my skin. not a problem & no nipple irritation. the material is thin but strong . It is slightly see-through (I bought the sea green one) . I found it to be very breathable and strong. I'm buying two more!

    Found my replacements!

I've been bummed ever since Patagonia changed their barely bra from two years ago. It was perfect for me, between A/B size, I could go for a trail run or mountain bike ride and it would dry quickly or come of easily when it's cold and throw on another just as easily.

While I'm usually a small in Patagonia, the medium Ibex fit just right. I think the material has better stretch and hold. If that makes sense. And of course, no stink cause of the wool.

I've purchased 3 to start off with. If it wears well in the next 6 months, I'll have to buy more cause these are so comfortable.

    Comfortable for light activity

I typically wear Ibex's Bralette bra, but decided to try the Light Bra for something a little more leisurely. The bra is as it says, "light" in the fact that it has very light support and no padding. This is great for days when I'm not super active, doing light flowing yoga and stretching. I find it very comfortable and am very happy with my purchase!

    Super comfy!

This is my favorite around the house, running errands, to be pregnant in bra! It fits very true to size and is so soft! This is such a great travel piece! Note, that the Ibex Bralette is more supportive for higher impact activities. Another one of my favorite Merino under garments!
