    Not too shabby

I really hate wearing bras, but needed one while i exercise. I have found sports bras to be tight and uncomfortable, but this one has a nice amount of stretch and is thin enough where you don't feel like your flesh is being constricted. I'm not entirely sure how this would work out for a lady with boobs larger than mine, but for 34 B it's quite comfortable! Also, the wool is a big plus. Soft, supple, and doesn't retain odor!

    GREAT low-impact bra!

I absolutely LOVE this bra! I have two - one in black, one in sand dollar. I use them daily for around the house wear (I try to keep out of wired bras when I'm at home) and yoga. Have also used this bra for sweaty yardwork chores, biking, backpacking, and camping. Doesn't seem to matter how much I sweat in this bra, it refuses to stink!

The straps can be worn either crossed or straight, which makes this a versatile piece - can be used with regular tank tops or racer-back tops.

While trail running is a recommended use, I tried one run in this bra. Definitely not for me. This top does not provide enough support to keep the girls from bouncing all over the place on a run or doing some other high-impact activity, like plyometrics or intensity workouts. For anything with running or jumping, I like Moving Comfort - keeps everything solidly in place. I found the M to fit me well for this bra, and usually I wear a small. (For reference, I typically wear a 32D demi cup or balconette, as I don't fill out the upper half of full-coverage bras, and Cs of any style are too small.)

Overall, this bra is wonderfully comfortable and incredibly useful. Highly recommended!

    Comfortable bra perfect for backpacking

Used for a JMT thru-hike this past August and it was great! Never washed it, and by the end of the trip it barely smelled (unbelievable, right?!) I ordered it in the Sea Glass color, L. The proble was that the color showed dirt pretty quickly and was permanently stained a brown color in some spots after my trip. It's great for low-impact activities, i'm 130lbs and usually wear a C, so I wouldn't wear this for anything involving running or jumping but for backpacking it's great, no rubbing with the straps, not itchy at all. Bonus: it dries VERY quickly.

    Almost but not quite

Fit was great, but I'm afraid the metal pieces on the straps will rub when I put a backpack on - my main reason for a bra like this.

I've worn mine on the Camino in France (walking for 3 weeks with only a BP for luggage) for the last two years. I didn't notice the metal hooks while wearing my backpack. The backpack weight should be on the shoulders and hips without pressure on the back....so it wasn't a problem for me as there was no rubbing on my back...and SUPER comfortable. Bonus is NO SMELL absorption thanks to the merino. I highly recommend these bras over the sports bra when it's hot, I've worn both and these were much lighter and more comfortable.

I own two of these, one each in Sand Dollar and Black. First, the positives (and there are many!). I love that this bra transitions well from casual wear to outdoor activities to general fitness. I wear this bra to the office, around town, while rock climbing, and I even wore it for a half marathon last month. The straps are very versatile and can convert to a racerback style. The ruching on the front is cute but does not show up under form fitting shirts.

The negative: this bra runs really small! I am usually on the small end of S on most sizing charts, but I am rarely small enough to be an XS. I read reviews saying how this bra runs very small, but figured it would still work. Nope. It took a good month or two for both bras to stretch enough from regular wear to feel comfortable around my bust, but the straps are still too small for them to ever be comfortable in the raceback style. I really wish I would have purchased these in a medium so I could comfortably convert the straps and not have had such a long break in time. Sizing is my only concern though, and I'd 100% buy this and other Ibex bras in the future (I want to try out the Balance Light Bra, which I've heard runs true to size and would be better with lower cut shirts).

    Awesome Bra!

The Ibex Balance Bralette is a stellar every day bra or low-impact activity holster. Hands down this is by far the best low-impact sports bra that I have ever had. I'm continuously impressed with how quick-drying, anti-odor, and anti-chafing it is. My purchase was inspired by my husband, who has been raving about his Ibex merino wool underwear for months now. And now, because of this bra, I too am incredibly obsessed with utilizing merino wool as underwear, especially when conducting aerobic activities. I went with the black color, as most of my sports bras are dark colors.

What I love the most about this bra is its versatility - I can hike, climb, and bike in this bra without feeling like I've got the Florida Everglades amassing in my chest. I have run in this bra before, but was also wearing a tank that has a built in bra already in the shirt. The bra held up fine, but I prefer to be a little bit more compressed than I was. The straps can be adjusted to a "spaghetti strap style" basic bra or cross back for racer-back style shirts or a little extra support - and the straps are very stable. I haven't had any issue with the straps suddenly coming loose from its respective loop, which I've often experienced with interchangeable bras. The strap adjusters are low-profile and very smooth. The ruching in the front is very subtle and isn't noticeable under thin shirts. The material is double paneled, so you're not super "showy" but it's not like you're wearing wonderbra armor.

As for the fit itself, I'm 5'short (2 or 3, who knows), weigh 110 pounds and wear anywhere between a 36A or a 34B, depending on the kind of bra. All of my boob weight is in my lower portion of my chest, so I find that while a size small sports bras fit, they often squeeze me uncomfortably in my upper rib cage. Additionally, I had read reviews about Ibex bras and the consensus was that they ran small. So, with all of this in mind, I purchased a size medium and it fits so wonderfully. The band is fairly thin, so there's not much support there by any means, but the fit itself is incredibly comfortable (and it doesn't look like I've got a uniboob). The band is fairly wide from mid chest to back, mostly consistent. The textile holds up to washings extremely well. I often prefer to hand wash my stuff, but it's held up in the washing machine just fine. And was accidentally dried by the manpanion and didn't shrink (thank goodness). This bra is amazing and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a low-impact merino wool bra.

I walked the second half of the Appalachian Trail wearing this bra. I pretty much kept it on unless I was washing it. It wicked great, was warm when I needed it to be warm, and it didn't feel cold and clammy when wet.

I'm 5'4" and was around 130 lbs on the trail but mostly leg muscle. So I'd say I was a 34AA at the time and the 2012 model fit great in a small. I ordered the small again, as my original one is a little thread bare and stretched out in the straps after about 6 months of near continuos wear. And the 2014 small feels a bit small. I have certainly gained back some weight on top since 2012, but am still around a 34A. I wouldn't say it cuts into my curves exactly, but a medium might have been better this time. The 2012 said "Climb the Mountains and get their good tidings." and the 2014 one says "The art of wool." I will still wear it and hope it stretches a little or will save it for another backpacking trip where I'm likely to loose weight on top again.

    Totally worth it!

I'm very happy with my Balance Bralette! The straps are interchangeable, so I can wear with regular tanks and racer back straps. The bra is very soft and provides good support for my yoga and hiking. Great for multi-day backpacking trips, no stink! You may need to size up - I'm a 30/32 B and am comfortable in the Medium.
