This midweight face-saver fits easily under a helmet and goggles thanks to its tidy flat-seam construction. Crafted from fine merino wool, this coverup offers highly effective, lightweight insulation. And since it's pressed up against your nose, you'll appreciate merino's ability to combat odors, as well.

Great balaclava

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I bought this after reading Guru Wayne's review. When I first got it, I was a bit skeptical as it fit my face pretty loosely. I went ahead and kept it. If you pull the balaclava tight to your face before you put your helmet on, it will fit perfectly. Exactly what I wanted.

Didn't freeze, even when it was soaking wet. Great addition to any ski day - cold, sunny, whatever.

Don't freeze your face.

This balaclava is a very nice piece. Being merino it keeps warm even when wet from breathing. In fact, that is my favorite part. Every other face mask I have ever worn get cold and frozen after a short time of wearing it. This piece stays warm no matter how long I am out in the elements. The merino is also stink proof. You won't find yourself gagging after an hour or two of use because the smell is overpowering. I recommend this piece for cold weather activities.

Warm with great coverage

This balaclava did an excellent job keeping me warm and out of the elements while wearing it under my helmet skiing this season. Using my goggles to cover up the face hole gave me full coverage and protection. For less severe conditions I usually just stick with my wool skull cap but this takes care of me when nature does not. I found it was long enough that it stayed tucked in under my jacket behind my neck which prevented and snow or chills from running up my neck. Be assured, this balaclava will indeed "protect ya neck"
